Hi, I have windows 10 1803 and pdf-xchange viwer 2.5.322.9
I had a problem that under the administrator the association works, but not under the user. I can not make the default program

- In Windows 10 File Explorer, please do a right-mouse-click on a PDF-file.
- Then, in the shortcut-menu, select Open with > Choose another app.
- In the dialog-box "How do you want to open this file?", look for PDF-XChange Viewer and select it.
- If you do not immediately find it, click on "More Apps".
- Make sure to activate the check-box "Always use this app to open .pdf files" and click OK.

Always did and worked, but it was the old version of windows 10.
Now I have created a new image with windows 10 1803 and this is not how it works.

Can you set other applications (than PDF-XChange Viewer) as default to open PDFs or to open other file-types ?

In case you can, then would you like to download and install the successor-application of PDF-XChange Viewer: PDF-XChange Editor.

You can try all its features. Just in case you are going to run/apply 'licensed'-features, you will get a warning. If you continue, PDF-XChange Editor will put publicity stamps on all the pages of your PDF. But, as long as you do not save the file, or do not save it with its original filename and/or location, there is no danger.

rk3dnp, When you answer Stefans question, If possible a screenshot would be nice as well. Otherwise, I too suggest updating to the Editor.
