Re: internet explorer add in

That took care of the problem.
Thanks!!

One other question (or should I open another post for that?)
I would like to view pdf files in my MS Access application. I assume I would need the SDK for that? When I looked at that, I was confused: is it available free for personal use?
Thanks again!!

Hello thenelson,
I have moved this post to a new topic as it may be a longer discussion.

To my knowledge there is no method for access to handle PDF files directly, only opening the desired program. So In that sense, I do not believe that this is possible, even with our SDK products. But, before we completely rule it out, It is possible I've misunderstood the question, could you please provide an example of how you see this working? Would it work like the IE plugin maybe, and open a new tab inside the access window?

As for the SDK products themselves, Using them is free, but until a license is purchased they will always treat documents as if the product is in "demo" mode, by placing "Click here to buy now" stamps. this means that you can fully develop the product to make sure that it will work for you, and then purchase the license afterwards and simply add the new license key into the code.

Looking forward to your reply!

It would be an activeX (ocx or dll) application within a form in MS Access. For example, MS Access has "PDF-XChange Viewer Simple ActiveX" in it's list of available activeX components. I tried using it but it comes with no documentation.

Well, I am curious to know if it could possibly work.

You can find documentation for the older SDK products here: https://help.pdf-xchange.com/DEV/
and for the newer ones here: https://help.pdf-xchange.com/
