Set a Default Font Type

Is there the ability to set the default font type to, let's say, Times New Roman?

Yes, use context menu and "Set As Default" command while typing

It doesn't work for me.
While using Typewriter tool, I choose a Chinese font type and "Make Current Properties as Default".
But next time when I type Chinese, it doesn't use the font I chose before.

Well, I know what's wrong with me.
I have to use the context menu and choose "Text Formatting->Make current Text Formatting as Default", instead of "Make Current Properties as Default".
Then everything works fine.
