How do you hide the bottom dimension bar?

That is not possible in the Viewer.
Have you tried the Viewer's successor - the PDF XChange Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... nge-editor
You will be able to turn on/off all toolbars and menus and have the window as clean as you want.
