Link inactive

Post by PaRi »

Hi all.
I'm using PDF Viewer v. 2.5 in Windows 10 PC.
When I print a Word 2007 document in a * .pdf file using "Dopdf", links to websites are inactive.
I insert a hyperlink in Word; in the * .pdf file the link is underlined and blue, but it is not clickable.

I think I understand: If I insert a hyperlink to a website explicitly (eg www.sitename.xx) then it is recognized.
If I insert a link "below" another word, then it does not work.

Hi PaRi,

Thanks for the post - That's correct and is because the Windows GDI (which handles printing, among other things) strips all information not relevant when printing to paper. The Editor is able to automatically recognize and parse literal, http:// style links, but obviously has no information on embedded links so cannot add them back.

This is why we created the Office add-ins. These come as part of PDF-XChange Standard and PDF-XChange Pro, so I'd recommend that you take a look and download the trial, to see if it suits your needs:

https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... e-standard

HTH!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.
