Does portable Viewer clash with installed Viewer ?

Post by bawldiggle » Mon Sep 19, 2016 10:45 pm

...
Will portable Viewer clash with installed Viewer.
- is portable Viewer stealth :?:

There are 6 Registry entries for "pdfxchange" installed Viewer on my laptop (Win7 HP 32bit )
And a breath taking 9,145 entries for "Tracker Software", of which a "lot" appear to be leftovers from trialing "Editor" in 2013
- using Nirsoft's "RegScanner" finds a lot of "stuff" that Registry "Find" is blind to, including retained harmless MRUs etc

Without being distracted by the 9,000 odd Registry entries ...

Q: is portable Viewer "stealth" :?:

Thank you :)

Hello bawldiggle,

If by that you mean "Does the portable viewer make any registry entries" then no, the portable Viewer does not make any registry changes. All settings are stored in the same folder as the executable within a .dat file.

Cheers!
