After doing OCR a text layer is added to the document, the text can be selected and copied etc.
Here a problem may occur if OCR is done (by mistake...) a second time: Then if the text of the complete document is copied, there are duplicates of the text (the duplicates may even be somehow interlocked).
In this case, but also for other purposes, it would be necessary to access the text layer, and maybe to remove it. There is the option View > Other Panes > Layers, but nothing is dispayed. I see that in XChange Editor there is an additional option, Contents, which shows the text layer.
Is something like this possible in XChange Viewer too?
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: How to access (and remove) the text layer?
Hi Zvonko,
Thanks for the post - I'm afraid that this isn't possible in the Viewer. It requires the ability to edit base content, which was the primary purpose for creating the Editor. Originally, the Editor was marketed as Version 3 of the Viewer, but we changed the name to better reflect the ability to edit content.
You'll need to use the Editor for this:

HTH!

Re: How to access (and remove) the text layer?
Hi Zvonko,
There is no way to achieve the same in the Viewer - as it simply could not modify base content, and the OCR text is placed as such base content.
Regards,
Stefan
