Portable feature

Post by TonEmGub »

It would a excellent feature to make PDF-XChange Viewer in portable mode saving options and preferences in a file inside the program folder.

This software is the BEST freeware PDF reader in the market. Congratulations!

Thanks very much for your kind comments - very much appreciated.

We do intend a little later this summer to address the portability option - just as soon as we get some other key functions and features plugged in and all settles down.

:)
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

I Agree, using an INI instead of the registry to store the settings would be really useful for people that carry portable software on USB storage devices (such as me :) )

Congratulations for your software, after a couple of days of testing it became my default PDF viewer, i hope it stays sleek and bloat free (and free hehe) keep up the good work :D

Many thanks - for sure the version you are tesing now will always be offered free - in fact in the next few days a new release will be made offered even more functionality in the free version.

We do intend also to offer an extended version that will be paid for - but will in no way cripple or bloat the free version on route to achieving this.
