Change paper size of document

I received a pdf file in which the document's paper size was saved as an index card. Is there a way that I can change this to a normal paper size or does the sender have to specify the paper size when they create the pdf?

If you are going to receive such a PDF regularly, then you can best ask the sender to adapt the paper size at his side.

If it is a one time case, then you can think about:
1) printing the PDF to a new PDF by using a virtual printer (like PDF-XChange Lite V6) and selecting the preferred paper size
2) using a feature like "Resize Pages" available in the Document-menu of most PDF Editors (like PDF-XChange Editor V6)

Resizing pages (in the sense of making them wider/longer) is not possible via PDF-XChange Viewer.
Please take note that PDF-XChange Viewer has been replaced by PDF-XChange Editor a while ago.
