Bookmarks of a pdf not shown completely

Post by tim126 »

I created some multi-level bookmaks of a pdf file in FoxitReader (the free version which I installed under Wine in ubuntu).

The bookmarks are not shown correctly in PDFXChange viewer and editor.

I wonder why? Is the pdf file broken? If yes, can I repair it?

The pdf file is here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/130 ... ks/tmp.pdf

Thanks.

When I open the file in the viewer, only the top level bookmark is shown, and its lower-level bookmarks aren't.

The latest editor doesn't show any bookmarks at all.

Evince pdf viewer can show all the bookmarks

FoxitReader can show all the bookmarks

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the post and file - I'm seeing the same thing in Acrobat as I do in the Editor. I'll need to have the Dev. Team look at this to determine what is happening.

Cheers,

Hi Tim,

Thanks for waiting - it appears that the issue is related to the fact that there is damage to the underlying code of the document, so I'm afraid that there is little that we can do to help in this instance. I would recommend either recreating the document, or attempting to acquire a copy that isn't damaged.

Thanks,
