Print window bigger than 1600x900 screen! How to fix this?
Hi,
I am using PDF-XChange Viewer (latest version) on a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Ultrabook 13,3", Win 8.1-64, screen resolution 1600x900, dpi size 150%.
But when I want to print a document it looks like that: Why is the print window much higher than 900px?
Please help and advice.
Tnx,
Enkidu

Re: Print window bigger than 1600x900 screen! How to fix thi
Hi Enkidu,
Yes the article mentions smaller resolutions as normally it's on such that this problem appears, but your 150% DPI setting seems to be large enough to allow this to happen on your 1600x900 screen as well.
I would also recommend you to try the Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-editor
As it's print window should provide a scroll bar if the whole window can not fit on your screen.
Regards,
Stefan

Hi Enkidu,
Thanks for sending that - you are using an older build (204), so please download and run the following to install the latest (214.2) and see if that helps:

Re: Print window bigger than 1600x900 screen! How to fix thi
Hello,
I think that the most easy solution for Enkidu will be to lower his display enlargement from Larger-150% to Medium-125%.
The Print-dialogbox of PDF-XChange Viewer is 977 x 696 pixels, that one of the Editor is 932 x 669 pixels.
At 150% this makes 1465 x 1044 for the Viewer, and 1398 x 1003 for the Editor.
So, it is clear that the height is too large for a 1600 x 900 display.
At 125% it makes 1221 x 870 (Viewer) and 1165 x 836 (Editor).
That should just fit.
Regards.

This is a bit strange for me. I just checked for updates with its builtin update check but it told me no update available. What's wrong???Will - Tracker Supp wrote:Thanks for sending that - you are using an older build (204),
I will do so, as soon as this Ultrabook is available for me again. Will - Tracker Supp wrote:so please download and run the following to install the latest (214.2) and see if that helps

Hello Willy,
tnx for your detailed answer!
Why has this printing dialog to be so huge? I do not think this is necessary. It can be big as long as the screen dimensions are enough. But if not, why not reduce its size???
Cheers,
Enkidu

Well... I already tried but even on 125% it still does not fit! In addition to this, on a 13,3" Ultrabook, 125% is to small for my friend who is owning it. (We played around very much with these settings. Also changing font sizes ecc. But 150% is still the best solution for us. Except for XCange viewer..)Willy Van Nuffel wrote:I think that the most easy solution for Enkidu will be to lower his display enlargement from Larger-150% to Medium-125%.

Hi Enkidu,
The Viewer print window was designed some time ago, so changing it now is rather hard.
Did you manage to make it fit vertically with changing the font size in the Viewer -> Edit -> Preferences -> Customize UI settings?
Also did you try the Editor?

Stefan
