Alternate PDF viewers list

Post by fghj »

Hey,

maybe another workaround for me: I'd like to use Sumatra PDF as a "secondary" viewer.
Too bad, it only appears as an alternate viewer in PDF-XChange at the bottom right if it is the default PDF viewer. But as I'd like to have PDFXCV as my default, Sumatra PDF isn't shown in the list, what is a pity. I also asked in the rivals' forum, but I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

EDIT:
This has already been discussed in this thread: https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/ ... 35&t=14023

It's a shame the option only seems to be meant for the Adobe Reader. I don't want to use that program, but Sumatra PDF for example, because it works better with LaTeX. You don't have to fear that these other tools displace yours, but the button at the bottom right is a nice benefit for every user to have an easy way to view the PDF file with another reader.

Hi fghj,

Our purpose of the alternate viewer is for comparison to another standard, the only alternate standard, that we aim to maintain compatibility with are the Adobe products. As the PDF specification is International, we adhere to that have decided limit the alternate viewer to that most used in the industry.
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
