Hello,

what are the changes in version 2.5.206? I cannot install this update as long as I don't know what changed.
Thanks.

It should be on here:
http://www.docu-track.com/PDFXV_history.html

It wasn't when I checked yesterday, but it's always a few days behind the times...

Hi guys,

as Giraffe noted, this is usually a few days behind the upload. Give it until Monday and this should be updated.

Unfortunately I still cannot find any changelog. Giraffes link is simply an empty page since 20 hours.

Hi fghj,

This file got corrupted during an update to our system yesterday. It's fixed now, and the build 206 details should be there shortly as well.

Best,
Stefan

Hi necromancer

can you check that again and force a refresh? It went up yesterday. I just checked and it is there now. CTRL+F5?

Nothing there for me, even when I deleted the cache or tried CTRL+F5.

Hi Peter,

what is the URL you are using? Can I get a screen shot of what you are seeing? Is there any kind of server generated message?

This page is generated on the fly from XML - perhaps there is some issue I am not seeing...?

Sorry but I have no idea why I don't see the new changes. I made a screenshot, maybe it helps:

The history is there, but there are no details of the changes for build 206 yet.

Oh sorry, my fault. I thought we only talk about the changes of 206. The rest of the history ist all where it should be.

Just checked with two browsers at 7:15am E.D.T, October 18. Still nothing on 206.

No rush for the changes - by now they're history!

Still no changelog.
I'll postpone the deployment until the version history has been brought uptodate. I just hope 2.5.206 does not fix any security vulnerabilities and I stay unprotected for multiple days.

It's there now.

For your future comnfort fghj, you will find it extremely unlikely that there will be any security risk involved with either installing a new build or waiting for a new build as security vulnerabilities themselves are borderline non-existent with PDF-XChange.

This is because we code 100% of our own product and do not rely on any 3rd party sources. We will post a news item if there are security vulnerabilities or even a perceived threat. https://www.pdf-xchange.com/company ... ts/view/74

Yes I know, if I would believe Xchange-Viewer to be more insecure than Adobe Reader then I wouldn't use it.
However, of course Xchange-Viewer may still contain some security issues. In fact experience showed that bugs which can crash a program usually also allow code execution, if tackled in the right (or the wrong) way.

Hi fghj,

Nothing is fool proof and we would be both stupid and complacent if we thought we were invulnerable - we are not - but at this time we have no known issues and in the event we should have such a problem, we would act without delay - in the meantime however there is no point in us being paranoid.

Rest assured if the need arises we will respond promptly ..
