Print Multiple pages per sheet: 2/1 -> OK; 1/2 -> not OK

Maybe I'm on the wrong way, but maybe you can help me with this problem:

PDF: 2 pages DIN A4 portrait; should be printed to 1 AH portrait

Selected:
"Multiple pages per sheet"
"2 (2/1)"

"Horizontal"
Preview: " 1 2" --> OK

"Horizontal reversed"
Preview: " 2 1" --> OK

"Vertical"
Preview: " 1 2" --> OK

"Vertical reversed"
Preview: " 2 1" --> OK

Repeat it with "Custom (2/1)" --> everything still OK.

Repeat it with "Custom (1/2)" --> not OK, because every setting gives the preview "1 (on top) 2 (on bottom".

Shouldn't it change sometimes to "2 (on top) 1 (on bottom"?

I don't think it's supposed to work that way. Try Booklet --> Book --> Right Binding

Does that give you what you want?

No, sorry. This handles left/right and forces always to "landscape", but it does not handle "top/bottom".

The thing is - that's not a problem ))
I'll try to explain on the other sample while printing Multiple Pages per Sheet --> Custom --> 3 by 2, where 3 - number of columns and 2 - number of rows.
All reverse options are worked only WITHIN the ROW.

See screenshots, please, which I hope explain the situation better.

So, custom 3 by 2 - horizontal and horizontal reverse accordingly





And these are screenshots of vertical and vertical reverse accordingly (reverse is done ONLY within the rows).





As you can see, there is no reverse changes within the column.
In your example, Peter, you have just one page in the row (I mean custom vertical and vertical reverse preview) - that's why you can see no changes.

- "Reverse Order" in the page range
PLUS
- "Reverse order" in "Page scaling"?

(At the moment I can not test for myself.)

Hi Peter,

Either that, or you can simply rotate the sheet (so that it's landscape instead of portrait) and use the default 2 by 1 instead of the custom 1 by 2.
