Currently when you select pages to extract and then check the 'Save Extracted Pages to New File' the new file with the extracted pages is automatically opened in the viewer. Is there a way to supress this?
Ideally I would like it to function the same as checking the 'Extract Pages As Separate Files' where the extracted pages are simply saved off (though as a single file) but the current document view is not changed.
So if a user checks off 'Delete Pages After Extraction' and checks 'Save Extracted Pages to New File' they would end up with a file containing the extracted pages and the viewer would display the current file minus the pages that were extracted and deleted.
'Save Extracted Pages to New File' opens a new tab

Hi JGForwick,
thanks for the suggestion. As we approach V3 we are not adding new features to the Viewer. I have, however, added your suggestion to he wish list and we will look into it after V3 is released in May.

Does this replace the PDFXCview.exe (PDF-XChange Viewer)?

Hi ap_mi
indeed the Editor is the replacement for the Viewer. It has pretty much all the features the Viewer had and then some.

So the viewer sdk should work with this?

Hello ap_mi,
This is an end user topic, so you got a reply as if you are asking an end user question. I know you are using the Viewer SDK.
Unfortunately there's no way to control this in either the end user or SDK versions of the Viewer.
By default the Editor will NOT load the file when you extract pages from a file and the only option (that you can control via code) is whether or not to open the containing folder.
Regards,
Stefan
