Hi,

What is added/changed in .196 (not listed yet in Version History page) and what's the best way to upgrade from .195?

We recommend you uninstall the previous version before installing the new one. Windows can be touchie.

Hi Tracker Support, Jamie, Stefan, Paul,

Today, visiting the forum, I noticed build 196 was issued last week.
And I noticed the Live Updater didn't pick up that new build.
So I downloaded 196, uninstalled 195, and installed 196, as was advised. That worked just fine.
But now I still wonder - what is (or was) wrong with the Live Updater? No one explained why it didn't pick up build 196, if I'm not mistaken.

Hi Spiff,

I ran live update on a Win 7 x64 machine today and it updated OK. One thing to note is that LiveUpdate is not yet available to .msi installed Viewer instances - only .exe. Could that explain what happened?

If not tell me your OS details and I'll see if I can reproduce this here.

Hi Paul,

It concerns an .exe installed Viewer, installed many builds ago, and updated successfully time after time via the Live Updater. That was until the build 195 to 196 update.
The OS is Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 32 bit.

That's good to hear.

As for the issues with build 196 - there was something not quite right - but our developers resolved it last week, so for a few days before the release of build 197 updating to 196 was also working normal.
