Post by Zoran » Wed Jan 20, 2010 9:05 am

is it possible attaching RTF-Content on the page?
We are rendering RTF into an image and then attaching image.

What do you mean "attach"? Convert RTF to PDF ? or just as a piece of data ?

When attaching files to any message - please ensure they are archived and posted as a .ZIP, .RAR or .7z format - or they will not be posted - thanks.

I mean,
Now, I’m using rtf-text-peace, render it into an image and then attach image into a PDF-document.
Is it possible to attach rtf-text directly, without converting it into an image. Afterwards I can’t search within that pdf-document. If not in V3, possibly in V4?
Regards Zoran.

No, you cannot add RTF content to a pdf file using our libraries (both v3 and v4). RTF format is too complicated to add it handling to the library.
However there is workarround - convert RTF to EMF (vector image format, not raster), and then add EMF image to page. But please note that you can add EMF only to a newly created pdf file (using pxclib40.dll), so to add such content into existing file you should create new PDF file using pxclib40, save it to temporary file, and then combine it with existing using xcpro40.dll (PXCp_PlaceContents function).
