Do you support the PDF/A (ISO 19005-1:2005) standard ?

That is the PDF standard for for the long-term archiving of electronic documents.

PDF/A Status Update?

Post by neilpitman » Mon Jul 23, 2007 12:32 pm

Could you clarify the current support and plans with respect to PDF/A support, and whether the support will include conversion of existing PDF files to PDF/A and whether it includes PDF/A verification.

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil,

for now we will support only the creation of new PDF/A files - we will later add the option to convert existing files to PDF/A - but this is not such a simple task - and will arrive late this year/early next
