chinese wmf when convert unmeaning character in PDF file

Post by terryhcw » Wed Jul 06, 2005 5:12 am

Hi

I still have the same problem in the convert of chinese wmf file to a pdf file, which will only display unmeaning character in the PDF file. Now I'm use the PDF-tools SDK v3.4, which I download on today. I use the Pdftbx30.app and use the "place image in pdf " procedure. After I put the image file on the list and make the pdf file. It will convert unmeaning character in the PDF file.

I attach the orginial wmf and the final pdf file for your cross check.

Regards

Terry Ho

Hi Terry,

I do not get the results you get at all - please see the attached file which looks (at a glance) correct to me.

Please advise exactly which application you are testing (name) and the executable file name.

Are you recompiling the application locally ?

Also please advise the development tool you use.

Thanks

Hi Terry,

If as I suspect you are using Clarion (?)

Please recompile the demo application and then copy the exe to the \3rdparty\Bin folder and run the application

(see attached I have just made using C55)

If this is then correct - the issue is that you have old dll's of ours within your system (maybe in another version of Clarion you have installed) and the default path is located here first and locating older versions of our dll's - not those installed later.

You should either udpate all your clarion versions with the latest release or install your exe is always located with all our required dll's.

Also - to assist you and us - please post in the Clarion specific forums (if you are a Clarion developer) makes life a lot easier to identify and assist you :)

Also please always advise the dev tool in use and version.

Thanks

Hi Tery,

one further thought has just struck me - the files I have uploaded most likely are still not 100% correct as I do not have the fonts you have used -
So it is likely if you do not get correct results using the instructions given above - to progress this, I will need your font files - as used - to allow us to test further.

If these are very large (which I suspect they are) please upload via FTP to :

http://www.tracker-software.com

Login and password are both : usrfiles

Please zip any files uploaded.
