Graphics in sent mail with NetLib

Post by FransOttenhof » Tue Feb 24, 2015 9:55 am

Hi all,

I am trying to get a graphic in the text part of an e-mail when I sent a pdf.
What is the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance,
Frans

Hi Frans!

If you use Clarion Report and PDF-Tools to format your pages then the graphic should be embedded on your PDF page.

I'm checking your other problem with multiple attachments, and I'll check this also. :)

Hi Frans!

Sorry, I misread this the first time through.

I believe you can add a graphic as an attachment to the message along with your PDF file. If you do that you must make sure the graphic is the first attachment, and the PDF is treated as a second attachment.

Hi Craig,

I think I wasn't precise enough in explaining the question.

What I'm trying to achieve is the following.
A pdf is being sent to a person and in the message area of that mail I've put some text there. Say "Dear client, attached you find our invoice. Best regards..."
Following that text I want to put something that resembles an e-mail signature. Say " Company X, Address etc..."
That company uses a company wide signature which has a graphic in it.
If I look in the code I see the following:

If 'message text' <> ' ' then
NLMAIL2.SetContent('message text')
end

Can I put a graphic inside NLMAIL2.SetContent() or is there another way I can place a graphic in de message text area of an email?

Best regards,
Frans

Hi Frans!

Not with NetLib. Our content (message area) is limited to text-only. You would have to use a mailer that handles HTML multi-part composition.
