Re: Exporting Optimizer Settings 352.0
Understood. It is just inconsistent with how the settings of Recompress Images, Convert Colors, etc. are saved in the .xces files. Since the Optimizer Standard settings are locked in upon .xces Import, would it make sense then to just label them as Standard, instead of <Custom>?

After reading your reply, I tried it on my Windows 10 desktop and everything worked okay. It appears to be happening over here only with Optimizer running on Windows 7. Further info re my last post. I ran the tests again to be sure I had timed them correctly. I was surprised by how much faster v9 was with this document. v9 again completed the OCR of the document in 3:10, and v8 finished it in 3:53. v9 ran at 24% usage of cpu throughout, while the average v8 cpu use...

I have not really noticed a slow down with the FineReader engine, running PDFX mostly on my laptop. Normally I don't have to deal with really big files, and this computer is no speed demon. Attached is a table from a survey and the conversion to an Excel file with PDFX 351.0. These two files are attached in a zip file (Table Original). PDFX did a good job of conversion. I tried this again today. Same result, Alt-O did not work with the Save As Optimized command. This shortcut works fine for other commands. I tried other shortcut keys with Save As Optimized with the same result. It seems no shortcut key works with the Save As Optimized command any longer.
Thanks.
Thanks.
