Hi, Sorry - the watermark is fixed once added and this is intentional. Many users utilise this option to indeliabley stamp the PDF with copyright info etc and we use to distinguish PDF's created with the demo or live version as you may have noticed. Were it possible to remove - this will negate the ...

File naming and how to create your own file naming rules
Because PDF-XChange acts as a 'Virtual' printer and Windows does not naturally provide a comfortable mechanism for passing such 'inconsequential' information as a file name from all applications to printers, this can result in variable behaviour from different applications and this in turn can resul...

For now I am afraid we are just too busy with upgrades to existing products, new products and the upcoming 64 bit versions for Windows. Also the print mechanisms embedded in Linux means we would need to undertake a large amount of work to facilitate this - so for now at least I have to say it is not...

Thanks for your suggestions and all are noted. One thing to be clear on is that PDF-Tools and the PDF-XChange printer operate 100% independantly so any properties altered in one have no effect or the settings of the other. You may already appreciate this - but just wanted to ensure there was no conf...

Also different versions of Acrobat pass the filename in different ways to Windows - which is also no help regarding this issue...

PDF-XChange works with all versions of Reader from 3 + and can create Acrobat format 1.3 thru 1.5 PDF Files. Unless you need specific features of the Acrobat 6 (Format 1.5) then Acrobat 1.5 (format 1.4 spec ) files are best as these can be read by all versions of the reader from Acrobat 3 and higher...
