Like I wrote before, it's not too important for me. Personally I usually compare left vs. right and have a hard time remembering where I put the "old" one vs. the "new" one. But there are bigger problems to be tackled.

Personally I would prefer just left and right, so that I don't have to remember or look up which is which after not using the comparison for some time. But it's not very important.

When you improve filtering then please allow to ignore results. In my sample document I have a simple date change four times on every page out of over 640 pages. Since I currently cannot filter/ignore that it has hard to find any meaningful changes at all.

A button to swap sides could do just that, reprocess the comparison without the user having to enter the source documents again. We do not always compare open tabs and even then it's not always neighboring tabs, so a simple way to save all the clicking for a side swap would be useful.

Thanks for the search pane hint, I did not recognize that there were two separate commands to open advanced search and to open/close the pane (of which open seems to be the same as advanced search). I changed my hotkeys accordingly.

The problem is especially visible in the thumbnails of the corresponding pages. They are drawn very black due to all the extra bolt fonts.

I also sent you an example (extracted page) PDF for the bold Type1 font problem, that wasn't bolt in earlier Editor versions (as far as I remember) and isn't bolt in another PDF file.

Turns out that proximity has to be set to anything other than simple adjacent words the bolt search results to happen. And of course you need to enable "Colored Search Results".

While extraction a single page to create an example document for you I found the culprit for the bold search font: bookmarks! no. 2 does not happen on your attached PDF, so my assumption is that the use of Type1 fonts in my PDFs causes the bold search font issue.

Some iOS PDF viewers simply change their thumbnail pane to only display those pages that include search hits. Folks, it's nice that you have fun using Everything, but it only find files, not locations within files. If someone is searching for specific matches and locations within a 10000 pages file then Windows Search and Everything does nothing to solve that and thus has taken too much space in this thread...
