It seems like you have enabled the Thin Lines feature of the Editor.

To disable this, please press Ctrl+5 with the Editor's window on focus.

You can also disable this from View -> Thin Lines.

You can modify when the Info Bar is shown from File -> Preferences -> Document Info Bar.

You can disable all bars or just disable/enable specific bars using the ticks available in this menu.

This error started appearing after the latest update of Thunderbird (Version 60.5.2) was released. We are aware of the issue and are investigating it already.

Meanwhile, you can try reverting back to the previous version of Thunderbird.
