Actually, original file is created using spec version less than 1.5 - it does not use Object Stream and XRef Stream features, so it can be opened in most pdf readers, even they do not support files with spec version 1.5 or higher. Updated file use both Object Stream and XRef Stream, so it can be onl...

Further to Bhikkhu's post - the problem is because: 1. The Fonts are not embedded, so the Viewer must find some suitable font substitute font. 2. Fonts use custom encoding's with some characters outside the standard Adobe character set. Adobe (and maybe Foxit too) ignore such characters and use the ...

Main difference between portable and non-portable version is where settings are stored. Portable version store all settings in file which must be in same folder where executable is located, non-portable version use registry to store settings. So if you change settings (or enter key) for non-portable...

Vote NO to allowing upload pdf files without compression for two reasons: 1. PDF file may be not compressed or use poor compression. Anyway most PDF files will be compressed, more or less. 2. Without compression there is no file integrity control, so we have no chance to know was PDF file broken ori...

Hi, This is actually not a bug at all. The Downloaded document contains exactly one page, Adobe Acrobat 7 and 8 also show this. However this document is actually a PDF file 'Collection' and has embedded - seperate - documents. Some PDF Viewers may display such files as one continuous document. For n...

I imagine so but in testing the pdf's that I looked at against Acrobat Reader, I didn't see any noticeable performance difference. PDF-XChange Viewer can use a lot of memory for caching, and this is not a leak or bug - this is by design. There are a lot of documents where caching will give a good perfomance boost. Did you see Perfomace tab in Viewer Preferences? There you can set how much memory the Viewer should be allowed to ...

Thanks for the information - we are aware of this and in build 32 we will provide a fix for this issue to ensure such 'file bloat' on save for CJK fonts is not such a problem. Actually build 31 provide partial solution for this problem (it will work fine with TrueType fonts), and future improvement...

Giving the user the choice of how much resource they wish to allocate to any application is about gv...
