Re: View PDFXChange in browser

Reinstalled it over itself. OK PDFXchange remembered my settings without having to even import them--that was nice (given that I didn't bother to uninstall, not sure why the settings would have been lost, tho). Now, in Chrome, when I click on a pdf it will immediately download it. This at least make...

Re: View PDFXChange in browser

I just gave FIrefox as an example. My primary browser is Google Chrome. I am running XP. And as I said before, the option to check "Display in Browser" is greyed out. I think, given that PDFXchange lets me import/export my settings, that the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall. I'll ...

View PDFXChange in browser

I just uninstalled Adobe after using PDFXchange on my laptop quite happily for a while now. Now, however, whenever I click on a pdf link on a website, nothing comes up. I searched this forum, but the two solutions I found didn't work. (1) go to the preferences/File Associations. I clicked on the but...

Re: Pin recents list?

Got it. BOTH the File menu and the Customize dialog need to be open, then it works. Earlier I moved items from the Customize dialog itself so I was thinking it was something similar here. Thanks again.

Re: Pin recents list?

OK, I opened up the Customize dialog, but in the File menu, I don't see any "recent files" option to move onto a toolbar:

Re: Background color for "typwritten" notes

Right-click while editing the text and set the current text formatting as the default from the text formatting submenu. That does it. Man that saves a lot of time for me--I made my default font gold, with 14 pt font and boldprint. This makes my own notes very easy to see when I'm quickly scanning a...

Re: Pin recents list?

OK Bhikku. Not trying to be an idiot here, but its still not working. Lookie here: http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/1420/74877196.jpg That is the ONLY place I can find the Recent Files command. You want me to drag it from there, onto a custom toolbar? Whether I do this with a right- or left-click,...

Re: Pin recents list?

OK thanks Bhikku. I did some tweaking of the UI and I exported my file. Man they think of everything. I can't believe this level of customization in a PDF viewer.

Re: Background color for "typwritten" notes

Thanks a lot. I can't believe how highly customizable this PDF viewer is. This is insane. I do have one more question. When I made my text yellow, it was too light, so I made it boldprint as well. Is there a way to make any print with the typewriter, to be boldprint and/or yellow, by default, instea...

Re: Pin recents list?

With the Customize Dialogue open, you can drag and drop items from the menu onto your customized toolbar. If you mess up, there is an option on the Customize dialogue to reset the selected toolbar (or the menu) to its default, or to reset all. From the Edit menu, you can export all of your current ...

Re: Pin recents list?

Bhikkulu, thanks for the intersting page you linked to about PDFXchange. I was interested in this post because I'd like to pin the Recent Files list to a toolbar, if not directly in the File menu (instead of having to scroll down like you do now). How exactly can I make a link to it on a custom tool...

Background color for "typwritten" notes

I know how to insert a yellow highlight for text that is already in the PDF--I just click on the T with a yellow background, and then highlight the text I want. But I can't figure out how to make the notes that I enter using the "typewriter" function, also yellow. I have tried selecting th...
