Re: Bookmarks setting not available

Thanks for your reply. What I tried to explain is that via File (or via the Office-button) > Print > PDF-XChange 4.0 > Properties > Settings > Bookmarks, you have the possibility to create PDF-bookmarks based on several "Detection Options" (please have a look at that). Unfortunately when you use tha...

Bookmarks setting not available

Via the PDF-XChange printer driver there is a very interesting feature in the Settings list: namely "Bookmarks". Unfortunately this feature is not available in your MS Office Addin (for MS Excel 2007). We do use the MS Office Add-in to retain the hyper-'Links' that are present in the Excel-sheets, a...

Re: Problem with MS-Visio

Stefan, To be clear, my reply was not a proposition to reproduce the problem. It was simply the solution. Mattes57 says that he uses the PDF-XChange 'Add-in' in MS-Visio 2003 and set the size to 'A4'. In my opinion he has to set the size to 'Auto' (in the PDF-Xchange Add-in Settings) to solve his pr...

Re: Aligning interactive form fields when making a .pdf

I think there is a simple solution to this bad alignment: simply do turn off the display of the "hidden text" in Word.

Re: Profiles do not remember Paper Size

John, I have to admit that - in the case of converting a Microsoft Word document to PDF - it has no sense to change the paper size in PDF-XChange. Word indeed 'dominates' that item and so I can not send you an example. For this you are totally right. But in the case of Excel and probably a lot of ot...

Re: Profiles do not remember Paper Size

John, Sorry to say it, but I would not put the blame on Word. Even when setting the paper size of my Word document to 'A5', PDF-XChange changes back to 'A4'. When I look into Windows Registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange 4.0\Drivers\PDF-XChange 4.0\Profiles\, I do find ...

A6 size is not available

Dear Sirs, Although A6 (105 cm x 148 cm) seems to be one the ISO216 paper size definitions, it is not available as a destination format in PDF-XChange nor in Adobe Acrobat. Both products offer possibilities for A0 down to A5, but not for A6 to A10. Should there be some reason for this, or is it just...

Profiles do not remember Paper Size

Dear Sirs, When customizing the Paper Size to for example A5 for a certain Profile (other than "Current") in the PDF-XChange 4.0 printerdriver (build 165), this change is not remembered next time this same Profile is being used and after the application in question has been restarted (in our case Wo...

Re: MS Word charts "copied as picture" not PDFing correctly

Maybe I'm a little bit late with my solution. I just red this topic today (27th of August).

I think the solution for this is very simple, but you just have to know.

Just change the print resolution in your PDF-XChange 4.0 printer from 300 to 600dpi and than have a new try !

Success.

Re: "Save path" for Reports in MS Access 2007

The use of 'Profiles' is indeed a very handy function. All settings for a specific job can be stored in a separate profile. You can make as many profiles as you need. The only thing that you have to take into account is that every other user of the application must have a copy of these profiles on i...

Word document with embedded Excel sheet

When we embed a part (= table) of an Excel sheet in a Word document there is a chance of a wrong result when converting it to PDF with PDF-XChange 4.0163. Apparently it depends on the zooming percentage of the original Excel file + the Zoom level that has been set in PDF-XChange. The exact explanati...

"Save path" for Reports in MS Access 2007

When designing a Report in MS Access (2007-SP2) (via right click on the report and then "Design View") it is possible (via the tab "Report Design Tools" and "Page Setup" > "Page"-tab ) to "Use Specific Printer". So we do choose this option (by clicking on the "Printer..." button) and select "PDF-XCh...

"Transition type" stays blank

One of the new possibilities in version 4 of PDF-XChange is the insertion of "Transitions" between pages in a PDF. This option can be activated via the properties of the printer driver or via the Settings icon in the PDF-XChange tab (in Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and then selecting "General" > "Transi...

Re: Left Section of Footer not present in resulting PDF

This morning I did a new test with release 4.0162 of PDF-XChange and the problem is still there. I started with the preset "Page 1" for the footer (the second choice in the standard list, just below (none) ). The result was good, the text "Page 1" was indeed present on the bottom of the page in the ...

Re: Resolution setting is not remembered

Some settings for the PDF-XChange Office Add-in are indeed common, but some are not. Like for example: - the "Border type" for hyperlinks can be set different for Word than the one for Excel; - when saving the PDF you can choose to run (or not) the default viewer for Word and you can set it differen...

Re: Left Section of Footer not present in resulting PDF

We are using PDF-XChange 4.0 build 159.

I have included a ZIP-file with:
- a print screen of my settings (Test_Footer.jpg)
- the original Word 2007 document (Test_Footer.docx)
- the resulting PDF (Test_Footer.pdf).
