Re: Which resizing method is better?
Great information. I assume that anti-aliasing will be applied at original resolution then as well and then left to the printer driver to upscale along with the image? If this is the case then resampling images outside of Editor makes sense when superior image quality is needed.

Re: Hardware Duplex scan does not scan duplex
Unfortunately I ran into the next culprit today. Trying to scan double sided pages at 200 DPI via TWAIN it turns out that once I try more than 5 pages (=10 sides) XChange does not import the pages from TWAIN anymore. HP Twain claims to save the pages, but Editor gets stuck (no CPU load or anything)....

Re: Which resizing method is better?
Usually I use Photoshop to upscale bitmap images to the scale I need and in the same step resample them to 360 DPI, the latter of which being the native resolution of my Epson 3880 in normal quality print mode. That way I ensure that the print driver does not upscale the final print image using its ...

To be fair , small "e" characters is something that not only Editor, but also Foxit and Nitro struggle with. No idea why their interpretation of the "-" height within the "e" is so different (and obviously worse) than Acrobat's. XChange Viewer does a bit better and is closer to Acrobat's rendering. ...

Hello.
I wonder if there is any difference in method and outcome between enlarging a page via "Resize Pages" option or just use "Fit to Printer Margins" to print a PDF on larger paper than the original size?

Proper support for sub-pixel rendering (Cleartype)
When will Editor learn to fully support sub-pixel font anti-aliasing (Cleartype) even when transparencies are present on a page? Currently Editor is not capable of sub-pixel anti-aliasing even when said transparencies are situated completely out of the way (like upper left corner). Here is a compari...

This is "fixed" in 327 by activating Text Hinting (by default) No, the fix was implemented in a deferent way :) Text Hinting is and was activated by default from the very beginning of the Editor. Even before 327 Editor had a tendency to render some fonts larger than Acrobat Reader. Maybe that tendency is further emphasized by the new implementation of hinting?

Editor turns 3 pixel lines into 1 pixel + 2 pixels of gray for anti-aliasing. Anti-aliasing thins the lines that started too thick to begin with. "Enhance Thin Lines" is permanently enabled. Acrobat Reader turns 1 pixel lines into 1 pixel + *occasionally* one or two pixels of gray for anti-aliasing,...

I think the main issue that Editor draws those lines too thick to begin with, anti-aliasing can only do so much to correct this if the basis is already flawed. As long as your lines are even thicker than what Acrobat draws using "Enhance Thin Lines" this will remain problematic. This is a bug of you...

The reason for the sun-star to turn black at small magnifications is because of resolution limits and that Editor draws those thin lines as thick lines. In order for a double-click on the content tree to take you to the page you have to double-click *very* quickly. And I mean very very. Expanding a sub-tree doesn't need such fast clicking, which is why things get so confusing.
