PDF's not Created When the Application is Launched from a Service

PXC6::IPXCPrinterPtr is not creating PDF files when the application is launched from a service. The same application launched with the same command line from a command prompt creates PDF's as expected. Are there a known issues using PDF-XChange from applications launched from services?

Re: Evaluation Watermark Not Always Removed

I've implemented the event monitoring with ATL and wait for the OnFileSaved event to fire before releasing the printer which appears to have solved my problem. Are you able to explain what was going on before? Sample code for anyone else that's interested: #import "progid:PXCComLib.CPXCControlEx" re...

Re: Evaluation Watermark Not Always Removed

Is there a way to monitor the events without using ATL. Our code is written in C/C++ with the basic Win32 API (not ATL or MFC).

Re: Evaluation Watermark Not Always Removed

A new instance of the printer is created for each document.

Where should I put the delay and how long should it be. I've already tried a 1 second delay but that still showed the problem.

Evaluation Watermark Not Always Removed

We have an application that creates a sequence of PDF files by automating word to create a document and print to a PDF Xchange 4 printer. The majority of documents are correct but there will be the odd few that show the evaluation mode watermark in the top corners. e.g. the current print run I'm loo...

Where can I download an updated PDFX4SA_sm.exe

I've had a look at the new style download pages and I cannot work out where to find an updated version of PDFX4SA_sm.exe.

Could someone please point me in the right direction.

Re: Print Spooler Doesn't Start

Will the version history be updated to reflect the new release? I see 4.0.174 is available but the version history only lists upto 4.0.170 and I need to know if the fix you provided me is in the latest download.

Re: Document doesn't fill the page

I've now had chance to check the affected workstations and they are using large fonts so the problem is entirely with our software which means you can consider this issue closed. Thankyou very much for your assistance, the DPI suggestion was a great help.

Re: Document doesn't fill the page

Looks like you might be onto something with you DPI idea. I've tested the prints while using the windows "large fonts" option and that produces the same result. I've not been able to check with the affected workstations yet to determine if they are set that way as the users are currently on holiday....

Document doesn't fill the page

On a couple of workstations the documents generated only fill about 75% of the page. This is happening for both version 3 and version 4 drivers. If we use the printer in another application such as outlook or excel the document fills the page as expected. The same result can be achieved manually by ...

Re: Print Spooler Doesn't Start

You're correct in thinking the machine is an x64 Windows 2008 Server but I'm afraid the only information I have is what's in the event log. Are you aware of any log files that might contain the information you are looking for or possibly a setting that would create additional log files?
