Re: pdf is not displayed correctly

Hm,
this probably doesn't help you, but the figures are displayed correct here and also the fonts show up as expected.

I'm using PDF XChange Viewer 2.0.39 RC2, dated Aug 4, 2008; 13:26:24 on Windows XP SP3.

Off Topic: Thanks for fixing the forums, finally I can see Reply and Edit buttons :D

Re: PDF-XChange Viewer didn't prompt to enter password

On reflection and to avoid confusion - we will treat this as Adobe do in our Viewer also, so from build 39, such files will require a password for viewing - even if only the user password is set. This might avoid confusion for people using the Adobe Reader and PDF-XChange Viewer, but I think it's d...

Document passwords

Hi, I just read in the PDF-XChange Viewer postings this answer on a question, why password protection isn't working. Re: PDF-XChange Viewer didn't prompt to enter password by Lzcat on Fri Jul 04, 2008 6:57 am This is because PDF require two passwords - one for open document (user password), and othe...

Translating PDF XChange Viewer build 38, RC1

Hi, I've downloaded the translation tools, updated on 24th June 2008 to update the translation file for PDF XChange Viewer. But in the "Commands" section only five entries are shown (there were much more in earlier versions). The last entry "SaveAs" has only boxes in the Short Text coloumn. After ha...

Re: Entries in "Recently used files"

We are using intrenally the Windows API function to draw text with ellipsis (flag DT_PATH_ELLIPSIS into DrawText API function), so, for now we cannot control this I am afraid. Thank you for looking at this. It was just an idea - if it's hard to change that, it's probably not worth doing so. Probabl...

It's the same for me - all the items in the recent file list start with my user profile directory, so showing the 1st directory doesn't give any additional information at all, but makes the entries long. Showing the last directory would give some more information, in my case since I'm having many su...

Entries in "Recently used files"

It's just a little thing disturbing me. Could you consider to change the format, the items are shown in the "Recently used files" list from path\filename to filename. This would make the list more simple and transparent. To be able to distinguish files with the same filename, you could add the path ...

German Translation

Because the German translation wasn't completed since at least build 35 and I like my programs completely in one language, I've updated the translation myself. I've also fixed the "1%" typo, already reported somewhere else in the forum... I wasn't able to translate the word "Toolbar" in dialog #299 ...

Reupload of build 36

Hi, I'm just curious, build 36 was reuploaded yesterday and the MD5 sum of the archive has changed, but I can't find any changelog (neither the official one, nor here in the forums). So, what has been fixed? If there was no critical fix, I'd probably stay with the older build 36 because it seems to ...

Plugin for Opera/Netscape isn't recognized

I'm sorry to bug you again, but I've installed build 0034 this afternoon and Opera doesn't recognize the PDF plugin anymore. Problems with combined files

Hi, I think PDF-XChange Viewer has problems to display "combined files" correctly. As an example I found http://www.harborps.org/Assets/Freeandreducedmealspkg.pdf Watching in Adobe Reader 8, it consists of two documents - a cover and an attached one. In PDF-XChange Viewer, only the "cover pdf" is sh...

Feature requests

Hi, yesterday I installed your pdf viewer and I'm quite impressed of this application. And somehow I couldn't resist to join your forums :) First of all I saw your poll about implementing the new ribbon interface used in Office 2007 (in fact not all Office 2007 applications use the new ribbon style)...
