Still the same behaviour that I noted before.

The Left/Right buttons skip two pages in facing pages mode, as does PageUp/Down, but Ctrl Left/Right still skip just one page, so it takes two shortcuts to get to the next pair of pages.

Open any PDF file containing em-dashes, e.g. the PDF file linked to at the top of this page.

Find (Ctrl F) and search for em-dash.

All hyphens will be found too, even soft hyphens.

I found that if I pin the application to the Start menu then it opens maximised, but when launching a PDF from Explorer it opens in a restored window.

It's more convenient to launch PDF files from Explorer or from downloads in my browser, so using the Start menu is not a useful workaround.

Every time I double-click a PDF file, it opens in a restored window.

It used to open maximised, and that's what I prefer.

This is confusing.

According to the Feature Comparison Chart, PDF Tools does support conversion of PDF to DOC, and so I informed someone that it does. What is the meaning, then, of this item in the chart? Is this thread out of date already?

MathJax looks interesting, but I don't see how plain text notes are going to know how to render math formulae from markup.

You could export the formula as a graphic or take a screen shot and paste that into the PDF. I think that would be a practical solution.

The existing shortcut of Alt F7 for "Previous mispell" serves the purpose better, except that it goes in the wrong direction.

Shortcuts are rather precious. I was expecting the access keys to work.

If running a spell-check, the dialogue shows access keys such as I gnore, and A dd, but they do nothing. If sections of text include a lot of errors (such as placeholder lorem ipusum text), the only way to proceed with the spell-check is to keep clicking. Can the keyboard access keys be made to work?

The easiest method is to use the Menu Icon on the Tab Bar.

If the PDF file is large enough the speed difference is very obvious. On a file of 1180 pages it is 21 seconds in the Editor compared to 1 second for the Viewer. Thank you. That works a treat. Some users might register the editor just for that feature — 909Kbytes instead of 17.2 Mbytes is a worthwhile space saving for hosting PDF files on web sites.

This is going to be hard to test since it is only noticeable with a first time launch. After the Editor has been opened once, subsequent launch is instantaneous.

Is there some way to flush RAM so that it always behaves like a cold program startup?

I also noticed that first (cold) launch is slow (about 8 seconds here), but thereafter it is instant. This is normal for most applications that they are much faster due to some code being in memory. The Properties Toolbar can be resized by dragging the side or bottom.

The adjust paper sizes from the top, set the Vertical Offset to Top (Default is Centre).

Here is another PDF file that reacts very badly to this feature.

Why numbers in a table would be regarded as URLs is a complete mystery.
