Re: How do I flatten the pdf after I have merged

SetCompression only works well when creating the original PDF. If the PDF is arriving from another source, you will not be able to easily recompress the existing PDF. PXC_SetFlat has nothing to do with the kind of flattening you are referring to. "The purpose of the flatness tolerance is to control...

Re: How do I flatten the pdf after I have merged

Hi! The first thing you need to do is to make sure that all the incoming PDF's to the merge are already compressed. This should save you the most space. Note that you cannot adjust the compression during merging, only during generation. Secondly, when merging you CAN set the Optimizations to remove ...

Re: EVENT:ScanningOK firing twice and other issue

Hi Dave!

I've been trying to get it sorted. Some of the problems seem to be caused by using the new templates in different versions of Clarion, where there has been some "template shift."

I think I have to rewrite the class and template files a bit. Working on that today and next week.

Wait - I thought you were extracting numeric fields from a rasterized PDF page. ocr1demo.app only makes a rasterized PDF page "searchable" by creating an "invsisble" text underlay for it. But for that to work, you should omit whitelist and blacklist parameters. ocr2demo.app demonstrates field extrac...

First, event handling doesn't work as well as it could in Viewer 2.x. Many events such as changing toolbars just aren't captured.

We won't see any major changes to Viewer 2.x. We'll just have to wait for 3.0. I have no ETA on that.

According to the developers, setting LockAllCmdBars = TRUE should prevent floating the command bars. They will put additional; checks in so that LockAllCmdBars = TRUE will also prevent moving or deleteing a fkloating command bar.

Should be in the next bug patch.
