Hi Kiaser!

A possible reason for the larger final size might be text compression.

You are going to do better compressing over all pages than over one page at a time, but that implies taking the "memory hit."

Hi Kiaser!

The amount of memory consumed by merging should be LESS than the amount consumed by trying to build the entire PDF in memory from raw data.

Whether it will be substantially less is not certain.

Hi Kiaser! It has to allocate the memory to allow holding the raw image in memory. One technique you might try is to write some pages to the pdf and save that pdf, then write some more to a second pdf, and so on. At the end use the PDFManagerClass Merge method sequentially to paste all the PDF's tog...

Hi Tommy! This is the Driver API so I moved your topic to this forum. First, please go to your Windows Printers area and be sure that you see the printer named "PDF-XChange 3.0". If this is not there then that is probably your problem, and you need to (re)install the PDF-XChange Driver itself. You n...

Hi Charlie!

It seems to me that the technique must be EXACTLY the same as that which the posted procrpt.app does using PDF-XChange!

The ONLY change is to use the Image-XChange Report templates instead of the PDF-Tools Report templates.

HTH!

Hi Charlie! First, you say the problem is the same as PDF-XChange. Do you mean that you want to make TIFFs that might have one OR MORE pages depending on what's in the Body field, or do you just want to make single page TIFFs always, and maybe make multiple single-page TIFFS if the Body is too large...

Hi Charlie!

For some reason I am having trouble seeing the post in the Image-XChange forum. I can see that you made a post but can only see the earliest 3 posts, not yours. :(

Hi Charlie! Sorry for not responding sooner, we had some technical problems at this end yesterday. I have uploaded procrpt.zip containing procrpt.app, which is based on our standard demo abtpdf30.app. It includes the extra Process to call the report and the report has been modified to work with the ...

Hi Charlie! Your idea of processing one record at a time will probably be necessary if each record can generate more than one page of output. Fortunately this has been discussed a while ago on the Clarion newsgroups. Basically you don't go directly to your report, but instead you use a Process whose...

Hi Martin! I have downloaded the version of the installation you have, installed it to a test folder, and hand examined each file to assure that they are correct and point to the appropriate other files. They do. I can only conclude that something has gone amiss at your end. For example, you mention...

Hi Martin! First, please check your 1.2 version - there is a version dated 6 Apr 2004 which may be later than yours. If your version was downloaded on 4 Apr, then please uninstall the version you have, download the 6 Apr version, and reinstall. Having said that, please check in your 3rdparty\libsrc ...

Hi Larry! This sounds very much like that problem Mike Brooks found a couple of years ago involving Clarion reports and ClarioNET. Is the Server on which the PDF is being generated an IIS web server? If so, have you installed a default printer for Guest use? If there is no "guest default printer" av...

ClarioNET should not be causing a problem as such. GWB Print Preview I am not familiar with. As long as it does not modify the WMF in any way then it should work as well as the example you mention. Could you please zip up and post the Insight Graphics example PDF and a PDF that has the display probl...
