Hi Vasyl!
Ok, I'll try your suggestion with the export feature, and I'll keep you informed of the result.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Custom tools and GUIDs
Hi Vasyl! Thanks for your explanations concerning the standard tools' IDs. The fact is that I have never been able to use any of the standard tools as they are. I have always had to create custom ones to fit my needs. In any case, the manual (on which my assumptions were based) would need to be upda...

Custom tools and GUIDs
Hi! I have another suggestion to make concerning custom tools. So far the only way to call a custom tool from a batch is to call PDFTools with the tool's ID (apparently a GUID). Why not call it by its name like any standard tool. All it takes is for users to give their custom tools a unique name and...

Re: Suggestions for new command line switches and tools
Hi! Thanks for this prompt reply. I can't wait for these improvements. Two points though. You write: - Likewise it would be very useful to be able to define on the commande line the parameters used by the crop, resize, extract and split/merge tools (in pt and mm, at least, for the first two). Even i...

Suggestions for new command line switches and tools
Hi! Oh dear! My message has disappeared when I was asked to login again after submitting it. The timespan of the session seems a bit short. Anyway here we go again: (1) I do a lot of batch work using PDF6Tools and it works very well. Unfortunatetly, it lacks some features for this kind of work and I...

Re: Problems with the crop tools
Hi! I've found a temporary workaround, until the next release of PDFTools. Coherent's old command line tool cpdf makes it possible to reset the rotation flag without upsetting the PDF (by using the -upright option). On certain files it takes quite a bit of time, but it allows me to use PDFTools crop...

Re: Problems with the crop tools
Hi! This message may end up being a duplicate. But when I saved the first version as a draft to do something else, and then finished editing it and submitted it, it did not appear in the forum. So, anyway, here we go again. Unfortunately I don't have the means to do the video you suggested. But I ma...

Re: Problems with the crop tools
Hi!
Here's the zipped files. I did try to make sense of them in case I could just edit them manually, but I couldn't make any sense of them.
Hope you can find a clue..

Problems with the crop tools
I want to crop the left half of a multipage landscape A4 PDF document so as to produce an A5 one with just these left halves. So I use the crop tool with margins (left = 0, top = 0, bottom = 0, right = 148.5mm) This works like a breeze. As I have many more PDFs on which to do this operation, I expor...
