Re: PDF Links Don't Work
I think this is just an edoc issue with not setting the destination properly. The full filename is showing up properly in the resulting pdfs I am pretty sure but there is just two key/value pairs missing for the GotoR Action as has been suggested.

Re: PDF Links Don't Work
I submitted a request to Edoc and they responded right away also mentioning the URI workaround but for now I am just using Adobe until someone comes up with an actual fix.

Re: PDF Links Don't Work
Never mind about my last question as I see that GoToR is the only action except maybe URI or Launch Application that would open another PDF file. I think launch application is more likely to require user approval upon clicking the link too. I will just wait for an EdocPrinter update and use Adobe Re...

Re: PDF Links Don't Work
Just curious I also tried (\\wft\\ca\\caedm34groups\\OpsSupport\\TechUnits\\Cross Reference.pdf) (in Word I put wft\\ca\\caedm34groups\\OpsSupport\\TechUnits\\Cross Reference.pdf) This one ended up looking like a relative reference which lead to the incorrect path. and (\\\wft\\ca\\caedm34groups\\Op...

Re: PDF Links Don't Work
Thanks for all your work on this issue. Some more background. These are Word files with hyperlinks to existing pdf files. In the Word hyperlink menu there is no option for selecting a page/zoom/... in the pdf file, just a file itself. I then print these Word files to pdf using EdocPrinter PDF Pro (l...

Re: PDF Links Don't Work
When I use the link creation tool the links are showing up as go to a page in another document (good) but empty for the file to go to. The same files do work in Adobe so the issue is PDFXchange Editor isn't reading the filenames properly or is blocking them somehow.

PDF Links Don't Work
I have links in my pdf documents (not that I created) that open other pdf files on our network drive. They have always worked fine and work in Adobe PDF Reader but now they don't do anything in PDFXChange Editor. I tried selecting allow for each of the three security settings but that didn't help. W...

Re: Com interface for editor
That link goes to the only page I have access to of the online help. And it doesn't show useful information nor can you navigate away from it... You guys should just take down your online help as it gives the illusion of being helpful! lol. Then people would come directly to these forums where the r...

Re: Importing bookmarks with postscript file
Adding bookmark creation with javascript is super easy if all you want to do is add a javascript action. http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/auto_bookmark_creation details all the needed info. I don't want to use a javascript action because it might be disabled on some computers security settings. The...

Re: Customizing Commands
Hi Will, One answer to part of my first question I have figured out. The command id is used by javascript. So I can do this app.execMenuItem("cmd.bookmarksView.import") and it will run the import bookmarks command. That makes this relatively easy to automate which is nice. Now if only you ...

Re: Importing bookmarks with postscript file
I am looking to automate this yes. I have a few hundred tech unit pdfs I need to update with a bookmark at the top of the list. I have automated the creation of these pdfs as well and will need to add this bookmark each time I create a new one.

Importing bookmarks with postscript file
Hello, I noticed that the import/export bookmarks function seems to use postscript. Could someone help me write a bit of script that would make the bookmark be added to the top of the bookmark list as opposed to the default of after the selected one or the end of the list? Or could you tell me if th...

Re: Com interface for editor
Thank you for the response. It seems like the forums and development team have a lot more resources than whoever makes the online help. You guys used to have good pdfs but since the online help has come into place it has been really hit or miss for being accurate and complete.

The shortcut only works if you have the bookmarks toolbar active. I managed to automate what I wanted to do by sending a controlfocus to the bookmarks control and then sending my shortcut keys.

Customizing Commands
Hello, I set a shortcut key ctrl+alt+i for the import bookmarks command. I can't get the shorcut to work. Do I need to be in a certain view for the shortcut to work? It isn't used by any other commands and I have tried other shortcuts with the same success. Also, I see that there is a command id. Is...

Re: AddBookmarkItem
With further testing I found out that is was the size delta. I just needed to increase that to at least around 5 or something otherwise it would not recognize the font size correctly. The font name matched fine. Thanks though.

AddBookmarkItem
Hello, I currently have this code in Autohotkey working to create bookmarks matched to sDet_FontName. I would like to use it to match font name and size. Re: Help Files
For the dwDetectFlags option of adding bookmarks, how do you specify the bit combination integer value? I don't know what that is. The possible values are even while in the VB examples on the page the value is odd. Do you add up all the values you want? Like 7 is value 1, +2, + 4?

Can I have the old version of the help? The online one is rather lacking still and is frustrating with all the dead links. Hello, I downloaded the current version of the Pro SDK install and it didn't come with the Drivers SDK. Was it supposed to? If not, does it say somewhere that you need to download them separately?
