Re: How to crop permanantly?
your best option is to wait and see if the (...) Crop with redaction feature eventuates. I'll do so, but I can't believe that such an advanced and feature-rich software like the Editor doesn't currently have a straightforward way to crop and reduce a file size. I've just transferred the above menti...

Re: How to crop permanantly?
in order to reprint the file, you would need a PDF printer, to 'reprint' the document to PDF: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/pdf-xchange-lite In the meantime I did so using the "PDF-XChange Printer Lite 2012" print driver. A bit tedious, since I had to enter a Custom paper size to fi...

Re: How to crop permanantly?
Hi all, I'm joining this thread after noticing that cropped files have the same size as the original ones. Paul's workaround seems way too complex, especially since I don't want to "remove an area" but to "keep an area" (which is not exactly the same: I would need to do this for ...

Re: Watermarks with valid license!
Hello, I've just experienced a similar issue, but as follows: I opened a document which had been previously scanned, not using PDF Tools, but a Ricoh MP C2800 multifunction copier/printer/scanner. This document was OK. After removing the last 5 pages out of 6 (using PDF-XChange Editor Document/Delet...

Re: Duplex printing: Editor not as smart as Viewer
Hi Will, You may want to add the following issue to the same ticket, or create a new one: After setting the Duplex mode to "Short Edge", any change in the printer's own prefs (even not relevant to the page orientation) automatically changes the Duplex mode back to what seems to be its defa...

Here you are.
In the meantime, I also tried printing it with Adobe Reader: no issue.

File preview and print OK in Viewer, not in Editor
This file prints OK in the Viewer (214.2), whereas in the Editor (307.2) the display is OK, but both the print preview, and the paper output only show the image, no text. See attachement.

Re: Forum permission
Hi Paul,
I'm experiencing the same issue: I get a "You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum" message when trying to access the Welcome to Tracker Software Support Forums - Forum Rules & Regs section.
Logout then login didn't solve it.

Re: Duplex printing: Editor not as smart as Viewer
Is the document you are trying to print portrait or landscape itself? From the initial post: " printing a A4 portrait document to a two-sided booklet ". feeding them with the long edge perpendicular to the way the page moves inside the device or the short one? Long when using the A4 tray,...

Re: Duplex printing: Editor not as smart as Viewer
Hi Will, 1. Editor After upgrading to 307.2, the behaviour is slightly different: - leaving the default printer's own preferences unchanged (Portrait) results in an upside-down back page, whatever the Duplex mode setting (Auto, Short, Long) - setting the printer's own preferences to Landscape will r...

Re: Duplex printing: Editor not as smart as Viewer
In the Editor there are 4 options - if you select the Auto, and then change the duplex option in the printer's own preferences - doesn't it work the same as in the older Viewer build which it seems you are currently running I've just tried this Auto setting: unlike my current Viewer version, leavin...

Duplex printing: Editor not as smart as Viewer
Hi, After recently switching from the Viewer to the Editor, I came across a slightly different behaviour between both, as regards Duplex mode printing of booklets. The context: printing a A4 portrait document to a two-sided booklet. 1. With the Viewer. In the "Properties" dialog box of the...

Feature request: more accurate crop tool
Hi everybody, Since this is my first post on this forum, let me first thank and congratulate the developers of these excellent softwares. After trying the free version of PDF-XChange Viewer, I decided to buy the Pro version with three year support, and was recently delighted to receive a free licens...
