I actually tried that last week but I just tried again to make sure. There is no difference. I have found a list of needed DLLs and they seem to be all there.

Thanks for trying, I have searched the system and that is the only UNICOWS.DLL. If there was another UNICOWS I would figure the error would occur all the time but if I remove the UNICOWS.DLL in the local directory the error goes away. The files are all in the application working directory, I have attached a jpg of the DLLs in the directory.

I verified that the unicows.dll wasn't on the Windows ME system. I also verified the same problem happened on Win98 with the unicows.dll missing. Another win 98 text anomoly

Please see the attached PDF. Notice the first string drawn seems to have each character drawn on top of each other. The second string is drawn as expected. This happens on windows 98 but both strings are drawn ok on windows xp. I have attached the test VC6 project which was used to create this PDF.

I downloaded the latest software, compiled using the latest pxclib30.lib and tested it using the latest DLLs. The PDF is still 293K. I made sure it was getting the right .lib by renaming it and seeing that there was an error linking.

I didn't intend to be difficult. I'm sorry it came across this way. I just wanted to understand why. I am used to the Printer DC giving me a pixels per inch which works on all OSs.

I have attached a V3.4.0.80 and V3.4.0.83 PDF. I compiled a version of my software and created the PDF with V3.4.0.80. I then copied in the V3.4.0.83 DLLs and created a PDF. The code wasn't changed or recompiled at all between PDF file creations.

Here is the difference I am seeing between win 98 and win xp. XP has a much larger difference than what you are seeing. I have never seen a difference like this on different os's. Another thing I just noticed different between the XP PDF and the 98 PDF is the bitmaps that appear at the top of the page. They are very tiny in the Win 98 PDF. Any ideas why they would be different based on the OS?

Do you have any more documentation or examples of how PXC_GetContentDC() shouls be used? I am assuming that the HDC* can be used to create a windows DC using Attach(HDC).
