Re: Error message - Can't open the file

Same problem here once I loaded 314.
Yes # in Folder name.
Opening within Editor with no error.
Noticed it on a thumb drive.
Didn't notice it with files from hard disk (yet)

Took thumb drive to my other machine which is pre 314. Opens fine.

Scan not quite 100% size

I have this hard copy form with vertically spaced table rows. They are made to match index tabs in a book. Plan was to scan in the master, Typewriter in the verbiage and print out. Once I do this the filled in form no longer aligns to the book tabs. Not much but slightly undersized. it's probably al...

Just an atta boy

Recently had a need to use the Manual Duplex Reverse feature in scanning. Works like a charm.

I know it's a feature that's been around for a while but nice to know it was already there when I needed it.

Re: Reinstall pdf x change editor when pc crashed down

Log in your Tracker account. Go to "Your Products & Serial Numbers" tab. There should be an option to convert to the new SN scheme. It will be like 40 thousand characters long ( ). There is an option to copy to clipboard so you can paste it in the license field. Best I can remember. Did a ...

...which makes it sooooo easy to write code to edit a PDF where the user "sees" and wants to act on groups, blocks, paragraphs, sentences, etc.

Yea, right... :-(

Scan to existing open PDF

I know there are a couple of ways to combine PDF's, pages, etc. using thumbnail drag and drop or Combine Files into Single PDF. I recall way back when I had Acrobat 5 that you could open an existing doc then request a scan. Acrobat would present a popup asking if you wanted it as a new doc or do you...

This is the equivalent of clicking Help > Contents

It should open a web page. Then select "PDF-XChange Editor 3.0x"

Automatically OCR's Scanned Files

Hopefully an easy one with an option change but I could not find it. I'm running 3.0.306.0 under Win 7. Somewhere in one of the past couple of builds I now notice when I scan a doc it automatically OCR's it. Not necessary from my POV. Maybe OCR'ing docs all the time before saving has some benefit? T...

Copy Pages Between Docs Using Thumbnails

I have not figured out how to do this in Editor as I did in Viewer In Viewer I could open two docs and view thumbnails. Hold down left mouse button on thumbnail page I want to copy. Move mouse pointer over the tab of doc I want to copy to. (Thumbnails change to those of the "copy to" doc) Move mouse...

Same file garbled with Editor, fine with Viewer

Unfortunately I have never been able to edit text very well with the Editor V3 Build 301.0. Different strange things happen with the text. Fortunately, now I have a very basic & 100% repeatable issue. Maybe getting to the cause of this will result in fixing other Editor issues. Totally possible I ju...

PDF-XChange Editor V3 Build 300.0 (Download today)

PDFXVE3.exe File Version: 3.0.300.0

No hurry. I'll hang out for 301 and see what happens. Address it then. Since I saw no other one posting about it, just assumed it was something with setup/configure on my end.

Thanks for the quick reply though.

OCR produces blank pages

Looked through the topics but didn't see anything related. I open a pdf and select Document | OCR Pages. It goes through the motions, opens a new document and all page(s) are blank. Tried multiple docs. Even created a plain text doc from Open Office and saved as a pdf. Same result. Can you point me ...
