Re: V3 beta: cannot read JBiG2 monochrome images?

@stefan
I am very sorry for this report : I want to respect the NDA, but how to e-mail such a little bug?
Is there a special adress to send this kind of message?

V3 beta: cannot read JBiG2 monochrome images?

Hi all
It seems that V3 beta cannot read B&W images encoded in JBig2 format (instead a black rectangle appears), while V2.5 does correctly the job?

Could you confirm that this will be fixed in the next release?

Cheers

Re: Can I keep the PDF open during OCR?

Hi Nelson Perhaps you may use a "tiny" local http server (eg : ZMWS http://www.zmws.com/doc/spip.php?article14 excellent ...but no english doc.) and load the file to display using URL (eg: CoPDFXCview1.Src= "http://192.168.1.xxx/myfile.pdf") In this case, CoPDFXCview1 copies C:\M...

How to save OCRed PDFs keeping unchanged background images?

Hi Using OCR_Save (W or A) functions of PDF-XOCR SDK, we can save a OCRed document as a PDF file. OK. But it seems that all the B&W background images are saved as 8-bit per pixel "JPG like" images, causing a huge growth of size: eg.: -input PDF file (a four A4 pages of scanned text emb...

Re: better compression rate of jbig2 format for PDF-Tools SD

Hi Stefan Many thanks for your reply. " ...he was also surprised that symbol compression is not producing the smallest files... " me too, because "Symbols" is the best algorithm to compress a composite B&W bitmap (it proceeds an "OCR-like scan" of all the patterns f...

better compression rate of jbig2 format for PDF-Tools SDK 5?

Hello All, I am a legal user of PDF-Tools 4 and I evaluate the PDF-Tools 4 SDK. I wish to know if the new PDF-Tools 5 could better compress pages with just one B&W bitmap using JBig2 options. It seems that, using any PDF-Tools (version 4) JBig2 option, a B&W bitmap is not very well compresse...
