Re: Export and import XFDF annotations in a non-UI process

OK, understood. I'm not sure if a hidden form with your embedded ActiveX control would work, but in general I've had less favorable results when trying to run UI controls in non-UI server processes like Windows services. This case needs to run on a Windows Server even if no user is logged on. I'll l...

Export and import XFDF annotations in a non-UI process

Hi, We are using PDF-XChange Viewer ActiveX SDK successfully for UI-based PDF annotating. We export the created annotations to an XFDF file, and later we can import the XFDF file to a PDF file. Now, we have a need to exporting and importing of annotations with these XFDF files in a non-UI process. D...

Re: Viewer control steals focus on first open

Hi,

We are heading towards our Service Release date so I wanted to check if you have the ETA for the next build of PDF-XChange Viewer ActiveX SDK with this "focus stealing" issue fixed.

Any update on the schedule would be appreciated.

Re: Viewer control steals focus on first open

That's great to hear! Many thanks for fixing this so quickly. What would be the estimated date of availability for the next build? We are preparing for making a new version available for our clients in about 2 weeks and I'd like to include the updated PDF-XChange version with this fix in it if you a...

Re: Viewer control steals focus on first open

Hi Vasyl,

Could you verify that you can reproduce the problem at your end with the simple app I provided as you requested?

Re: Viewer control steals focus on first open

Hi Vasyl, Thanks for your attention to this issue. I'm attaching a simple app that should allow you to easily reproduce the problem. Run the ContextMenuTest.exe file in the Release folder, or build the app yourself in Visual Studio 2010. The app is an MFC app that creates the PDF-XChange Viewer Acti...

Viewer control steals focus on first open

Hi, We are embedding the PDF-XChange Viewer ActiveX control in our application, and we have a seemingly small but very irritating problem where the ActiveX control of PDF-XChange Viewer somehow steals the focus or active window status from our application when the FIRST PDF document is opened. This ...

Re: PDFXCviewAx.dll crashes every time in Windows 8.1 and WS

Hi,

Do you have any update on when a fixed build would be available? This is a fairly critical problem for us.

Best regards,

ActiveX viewer makes a context menu disappear when document

Hi, We use your ActiveX viewer as an embedded viewer. When a user selects a file from a list, the viewer displays the file. This works great, but we have an annoying usability problem: If the user right-clicks a new file in the list, the list item in our list gets selected, and at the same time a co...

Re: Registration-Free Deployment with sub folder

Hi Vasyl & Dorwol, I think I know why Dorwol's sub-folder approach is not working. The ActiveX control of PDF-XChange relies on two parts: the PDFXCviewAx.dll file and the PDFXCview.exe file. The way the use of registration-free COM is instructed to be used in PDF-XChange examples is fine for allowi...
