Re: print web page to pdf degradation

I attach a pdf with the type of text fading I am talking about. I am trying to increase the resolution in the hope that will help. PDF viewer seems to have max of 300? I attach the preferences where I made it 600 in my Control panel/printer/preferences. But the pdf tracker 2012 printer preferences s...

Re: print web page to pdf degradation

I spoke to soon. I have worked out that it is 'flattening' that is dropping text quality. From what I can read this is a known issue in all pdf file software. Any tips on how to avoid any decline in text quality when flattening. I have to flatten to turn pdf with annotations into pdf I can send away.

Will - Tracker Supp wrote:Hi robaa@tpg.com.au,

Thanks for the post - Can you please provide more information? i.e. How the file was created, a sample document and link to the webpage, what edits were made, etc.

Thanks,
I think I have solved it. By turning off compression settings, I dont seem to get any loss quality.

print web page to pdf degradation

I print a web page to pdf with pdf viewer 2012. I then do minor edits/annotations. Save, do more annotations, save. I find that the document looks degraded. Not clear, font not crisp. images slightly faded. Any tips on how to get best reproduction off a web page ?

I can highlight text once. Then if I choose another text highlight wont work as it is deselected. If I click on highlight icon then it works again, for one selection only. I have updated to most recent viewer but still problem.

cannot copy or paste

Strangely sometimes I can copy a pdf object (picture) and paste it. Sometimes not. Odd behaviour and very frustrating. I have Build 306.1.

Copy works in that I can paste into another another application such as MSword. But cant paste into pdf 3 editor.

View Comments in right sidebar not possible.

In pdf xchange viewer I was able to annotate comments on a pdf page and see them listed in the right sidebar. The right side bar had 3 options. thumbnails, bookmarks and comments. The viewing of comments meant I could go to the comment quickly. Is this feature missing in Editor? I can only see a 'su...

print to pdf without saving file

When I print, say a word doc, to pdf, the pdf opens and I am forced to save it. The printing progress stalls, a save as directory opens asking me to save file. If I do save it then pdf opens. Any way I can have pdf open without saving it?

why two manuals

I installed pdf exchange pro 4. It does seem confusing to have two manuals. There is a viewer users manual and a exchange users manual. Are there meant to be two guides? It just seems a lot of info.
