Re: Method for renumber pages within a PDF document?
Stefan - Assume your comment ref "References. page display" is for the newer PDF Xchange version and not the 2.5.214 version?

Ugrading to PDF Editor V 3.0 from PDF-XChange Viewer PRO
Sorry if this has been answered previously. I installed PDF Editor V 3.0 (build 305.0) and it recognized my serial key. When I created a PDF from image files using PDF Editor it placed the "click to buy PDF Editor" watermarks in the upper corners of each page of the document. Am I required...

Re: Build 302: Toolbars / Options: Save as
I agree. After playing with the new Editor it appears that the tool bar is locked and doesn't allow user configuration. Hopefully this will be corrected shortly.

Re: Problem with PDF-XChange Printer Lite 2012 on MS 8
Problem solved for installation of PDFX5SA_LE. I downloaded the most current version of PDFX5SA_LE from Tracker. I noticed that there was a comment that the license key for PDF X-change pro would work with this version. I uninstalled the printer driver and reinstalled using the PDF X-change Pro lice...

Re: Problem with PDF-XChange Printer Lite 2012 on MS 8
Thank you for the reply. Tried the suggestion and the proper key was already there. Made the mistake of uninstalling and reinstalling, now the printer driver does not show up in my printer list (even though the install process seemed to work properly, even with entering the registration key) and I g...

Problem with PDF-XChange Printer Lite 2012 on MS 8
I recently purchased a new computer with MS 8 and installed my purchased copy of PDF X-Change viewer pro. When I install PDF-XChange Printer Lite 2012 using the previously supplied serial key for Printer lite Water Marks show at top of page when printing. The Water Marks say to purchase PDF X-Change...

Re: Attaching pages that have a link
208 was an automatic (ie, from within PDF X-change help>check for updates) install from PDF X-change so I really don't have an idea if it was msi or exe. Sorry I can't be more help.

Re: Attaching pages that have a link
Thanks Stefan. When I checked using help>check for updates using PDF-X Change Viewer I get "no new updates available". Currently using PDF-X change version 2.5 (build 208.0) Jan 19, 2013.
I downloaded 209 via link in your message and it installed properly.

Re: Attaching pages that have a link
Using version 2.5 (build 205.0) (Aug 14, 2012).
Two files are attached: am41--326 = file before merging, am65--325 after merging - the merged document is the second page.

Attaching pages that have a link
I have noticed that when attaching pages that have a link, e.g. with border style "_____abc____", the visible link does not transfer. The link is still present, but the visible "_____abc_____" does not appear in the attached document. Other styles of links appear correctly, e.g. ...

Re: Multiple Pages to one document
Just downloaded the newest update (2.5 build 202) and wanted to comment that the multiple page to one document function now works for TWAIN copiers. Thank you very much, will say me some time and hassle.

Re: Multiple Pages to one document
I've done a little research and it appears that the WIA drivers should be part of XP. However, I cannot find how to "activate" them for the HP scanner. It appears the only option is TWAIN. I have tried to scan with Paint Brush, which apparently uses the WIA driver, but cannot since the acq...

Re: Multiple Pages to one document
Paul - Said the Honey Do list can wait for a couple of minutes and tried the portable version. I installed and ran the portable version from within windows and the same thing happened. BTW, made sure that no copies of the "regular" PDF X-Change Viewer were running.

Paul - Sorry I wasn't a little more specific. The initial scan appears in the box as an image file. It is when I go to do another scan that, although the "import" button looks operative - and I can click on the down arrow by the import button and see my scanner (HP Photosmart C7100 TWAIN (...

Re: Multiple Pages to one document
Scanning multiple pages into a single PDF file is something I have wanted for a long time. So I was excited to see the comment from Stefan posted on Apr 23, 2012. Stefan commented: "And also make sure to check this easier way to create a single PDF file directly from multiple scanned pages: How...

Re: Method for renumber pages within a PDF document?
Paul - thanks for the reply and suggestion. I tried the demo, but it didn't do quite what I wanted. I probably wasn't clear enough in my original post. What I would like is when you have scanned a book with an index you can modify the "virtual" page numbers to match those in the index. So ...

Method for renumber pages within a PDF document?
Is there a method for renumber pages within a PDF document with Tracker? I am interested in having the page counter at the bottom of the reader to match the page number of the document. Sometimes when scanning a book or document the book's physical page number will not match the page number shown fo...

Re: New Feature Added - OCR and create text Searchable PDF!
What a great addition. Many thanks for including this feature. Normally I would have to run scanned images through a stand alone OCR now I can just scan with Tracker and OCR the images. I have found the OCR to be VERY accurate and am very delighted with the feature. Again, many thanks to the Tracker...

Re: iFilter
Windows search is not installed unless you do it voluntarily, it is not pushed - unless you have your update selections set to accept everything MS pushes. So from your comments I am again assuming that ifilter requires "windows search" to be installed?
Thanks for your time.

iFilter
Would someone be kind enough to explain: 1) how can I tell if iFilter is installed? I allow on installation "shell extensions", but see no specific request to install iFilter. 2) How do you access iFilter? Is this only from with PDFviewer or should it be available within the MS search func...
