Re: Bit of Formula cropped
Now I tried to reproduce the bug again but failed because suddenly fitting to width is in relation the width of the last page which is in landscape (probably because I scrolled down once), this behavior seems quite strange to me.

Bit of Formula cropped
Compare attached screenshots of a formula from the the following document: http://www.springer.com/cda/content/document/cda_downloaddocument/9783540784944-c2.pdf Apparently only at certain zoom levels, in my case when the window is maximized when I show the search pane and fit to width (271,41% zoom...

Searching Tabs of current Window only
Is it just me or did the meaning of searching "In all opened documents (<number>)" change? Previously it would just search all the documents in the same window, which allowed me to have different windows for different tasks/scopes/… and search only the documents belonging to a particular o...

Re: Bitmap fonts looking exceptionally horrid
Great! But concerning only the bad rendering, right?
Because the font replacement feature might worth a ticket on its own. Evidence that I am not the only who would be grateful for such a feature: https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions ... s-in-a-pdf

Did my email ever reach you? Anyways, here another example (although it doesn't look as bad) that is publicly accessible:

Invisible Text
No text in following PDF in XChange Editor 3.307.2 as opposed to Adobe Reader 11.0.06:
http://institute.unileoben.ac.at/anggeom/ig/Torus.pdf
Win 8.1, AFAIK only embedded fonts are used (apart from maybe Arial).

Bitmap fonts looking exceptionally horrid
At certain zoom levels PDFs with bitmap fonts look exceptionally horrid in the XChange Editor. The scourge has become rare now but you still find here and there those documents with Type 3 fonts that only make problems (e.g. they are also unreadable when viewed on E-book readers, I would love it if ...

Re: "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" rotated
Now I am certain: The bug is indeed because the images are displayed rotated. When I used PDF-Tools to extract and automatically rotate the images for me (Option "re-build … so it matched that which is viewed on screen") and created a new PDF from those images I ended up with a PDF file wh...

Re: "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" rotated
Here you go.
/edit: Just noticed I can reproduce it with a single page too, seems like the one time when the bug didn't occur was for other reasons.

Re: "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" rotated
The one PDF certainly was rotated before, the other one I don't know, at least it wasn't rotated not by me, I could still reproduce it when extracting some pages (more than one) and trying to OCR them. I couldn't reproduce it when creating a new document using new images. I did even try to run the P...

"Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" rotated
Whenever use the OCR functionality with "Output Type" set to "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" on a PDF with more than one page, the resulting text layers are rotated 90° (could reproduce it now with two different PDFs). (posted here since that error appears in the m...

Re: V.3 - long time no hear
However 1 firm commitment I can make is that we will release a Beta/Release Candidate in late August - irrespective of the exact completion status - for all licensed users to review and comment on - even if this is incomplete, to allow our clients to see where we are in the process at that time and...

Re: PDF-XChange Viewer & TeX: please don't lock the file
Well, maybe this could be implemented as a command-line parameter, which instructs the viewer to copy the file it to a %temp%\someuniquename folder first and then opens it in read-only mode (because writing a temporary file would make no sense).

Re: XCShInfo.dll no ASLR
I'm interested in knowing what you perceive as the benefits of enabling ASLR. In general or in this case (for a DLL)? For former please look at the wiki and elsewhere, it's surely better explained there than I ever could. Concerning latter, not enabling ASLR for a DLL makes could make it easier to ...

XCShInfo.dll no ASLR
Title basically says it, the DLL which is apparently there for the shell extension functionality is loaded by other processes (because they use the standard Windows file picker dialog I guess?) so wouldn't it be smart if ASLR was enabled for it?
