Re: Hatch pattern tool SOLVED
Quick Tip If you only require hatching to show the Hazardous Area Classification zones as per the IEC Standards, then renaming the 'IECpatterns.pat' file to overwrite the 'HatchPatterns.pat' file can be easier for those of us who are less computer-savvy to use. Only the IEC Zone patterns are display...

Re: Hatch pattern tool SOLVED
Thanks for the updates Matt. The hatch symbols shown are based on examples in IEC 60079-10-1 (Fluid HAC) As the hatches will be added as comments to the PDFs of the typically monochrome original drawing, the use of colour will enhance their visibility. For IEC 60079-10-2 (Dust HAC) the symbols are s...

Re: Hatch pattern tool SOLVED
Hi, I've been looking for a tool like this for a while and to finally come across this one is great. All I have to do now is dunderstand how to install and use it. My requirements are specific to the hatch patterns specified in international standards to designate Hazardous Area zones for equipment ...

Comments - Group by
I'm trying to use a PDF created from a CAD package where all the text (equipment reference numbers and title) has been designated as a text comment. Unfortunately, these all have the exact same date, type, etc creating a single group. Could I suggest that two additional grouping criteria be created ...

Re: UK English?
It seems odd to have two places to define the language .Surely one would be easier. In the mean time, please put a note on the Language forms about the need to also check the 'Spell-checker' to Setup variations on the selected language.

Printing MS Office docs to PDF with comments incorporated into the PDF file
I find the MS comments almost unusable when compared to the PDF-X system.
Is there any way to print my Word and Excel files to PDF that will incorporate the original comments as PDF comments?
If not then can I suggest that this feature be added into the PDF-X Lite driver and/or Office addin?

Re: Form Fields 2
I'm having issues displaying a PDF form (apparently containing dynamic XFA data and issued by an NZ government department) in my latest version of the Editor (v6, build 317) but it displays OK in the Adobe Reader. I understand that you are working on a build to resolve the XFA issues. Could you plea...

Could the types of Navigation View under Document Properties / Initial Display be extended to include Comments Pane, as well as Bookmark and Thumbnail Panes, and include the option for multiple pane selections? Could I also suggest that the Document Properties might be better included in the Documen...

Creating Bookmarks from body text
When automatically creating bookmarks from body text, selecting the "Allow multi-line bookmark titles" option currently results in the lines being joined without a space between the last word of the first line and the first word of the subsequent line. Could I suggest that an additional op...

Language setup - Only English (US)
I cannot get it to use English(UK) and prevent words such as "colour" and "odorise" from being flagged as mis-spelt. However, despite all of the language flexibility in the Editor (and an additional Language Localisation tool - it appears that there are at least 8 separate areas ...

Re: Creating bookmarks automatically from a TOC
I have a PDF document which was presumably produced from MS Word and has a table of contents in which each Section number, Section header and Page number has a hyperlink to the appropriate page. Would such a ToC be easier to convert to Bookmarks? If so could that be a useful feature to add to future...

Re: Links to pages within a large file
Thanks for the info.
I'm confident that we won't be breaking that limit - less than 2000 comments made to date.
I've not had any repeat of the issue about lost comments and it may have been due to poor version control of the project PDF files. I'll let you know if it crops up again.

Re: Links to pages within a large file
Editor v3 Build 307; Viewer v2.5 build 214.2 Note that I'm starting to find that some of the comments (all the polylines, shapes and pop-up notes on apparently random pages) are disappearing from our PDF file. This is of great concern as the file is intended to be part of the record of a safety revi...

Links to pages within a large file
I have a 383MB PDF file of drawings and I'm trying to use links to connect the drawings together. All seems to work during setup but I'm finding that the link was there but after I saved the file from the Viewer and and re-opened it in the editor (both the latest versions) the linked page numbers we...

Re: Linking to a Bookmark
Unfortunately my question may have been mis-stated. I use the reader/editor to work with a single pdf file in which each page is a separate process flow drawing and has the drawing reference number in the bookmark for each page/drawing. Each drawing shows only part of the whole process and continuat...

Edit Polyline
Polylines appear to be focussed on their use to define irregular, polygon areas on the PDF. I mainly use the polyline tool to highlight (with wide, colored and transparent properties) flowlines on a drawing. Unfortunately I can't find any way to edit (add nodes) the polyline nodes if I make a mistak...

Linking to a Bookmark
I can link to a page within the current file, or a named view within the file. It would be useful to be also able to link to a bookmark within the file.

Re: Help with Stamp
Just found the discussion on "How to Change Size of Digital Signature". I tried it and whilst it works fine, the drag works by first wiping-out the original default box and dragging a new box (but with no preview) from the original cursor-point (top left corner of the original default box)...

Re: Problems with Changing Default Text Format
Could I raise a slightly different question about the application of text formats? I modified the format for my typewriter text and made it the default. However, the colour I selected for on-screen visibility is a bright red which becomes a shade of grey when printed in black & white. I tried to...

Viewer Wishlist - Comments
When summarising the comments made on a PDF drawing which is in Landscape format to a PDF file, the comments and the annotated drawing are printed in Portrait format with the drawing still in landscape orientation. This makes the drawing very small and almost unreadable. I would prefer that the draw...
