Upgrading from V3 to V4

I'm contemplating upgrading from V3 to V4. I can't find a good document on how to go about doing this. We simply have our C++ code set the default printer to be the PDF-XChange 3.0 driver, set the key to hide the watermarks, and let the normal flow of printing create the PDF file. In V3, we used cod...

The user reports back that this new 3.4.0.80 build seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks.

We have a zipped file that is 46 MB in size. The user has tried to upload this a few times without success. He burned a CD and mailed it to me. I have just tried to upload it a couple of times. Each time, your process aborts before the file can complete. Can you tell us how we can get this file to y...

PDF-XChange fails with large job

I just got a report from a user, that when creating a report with hundreds of pages of output, and several of these being large images, that the PDF-Saver aborted. We updated him to the lastest 3.4079 to make sure the problem hadn't been fixed. The process failed during the "Optimization" process. T...

This new build 3.40681 seemed to solve the problem with Win98. Our internal testing, and that of some users, so far indicates that PDF-XChange FINALLY works with our software in Win 98. THANK YOU. Also, after installing this new build, the GPF I was getting with Unicows.dll went away. So far, it's l...

1) Attached is a screenshot of the GPF window. It is the same for both when we hit the Cancel button, and when we complete a Print. 2) I'll look into the MSDN 3) Glad to hear this is resoloved. Can you tell me: a) When will 3.4069 be available? b) Will we be notified? c) Will we be able to tell from...

Problems in Win98

After successfully upgrading from PDF XChange 2.5 to 3.0 in Win2K, we started testing with Win98, and have encountered several problems. 1) Once I spawn a report to the PDF driver, and the window comes up that asks what filename I want to give the .pdf file, a) If I hit cancel, then PDFSaver gives a...

Install Options

The installer sets a registry entry that causes pdfSaver3.exe to run at startup for the current user. Can this be disabled during the Install? The only time I want the pdfSaver3.exe to be spawned is when the user calls for it by using my software. My software will spawn this prior to the start of pr...

Trouble upgrading from version 2.5 to 3.0

I have the PDF XChange 3.0 mostly tied into my code, I believe, but I can't seem to get my key and dev code to register. We are using the "Windows Messaging and Registry" method. When running the software, we select the "PDF-XChange 3.0" printer driver, then continue with printing. At the top of the...

Converting from SDK 2.5 to 3.0

I have a working application using the SDK version 2.5.

Is there a concise list of items to be aware of when converting this application to use the SDK 3.0? (We do not need to explore any new functionality, just recompile, adjust the installer and ship.)
