How can a user obtain the EOCR plugin?

Thank you.

Does PDF Xchange Pro contain PDF Xchange Editor Pro?

1. Does the latest PDF XChange Pro version also contain the new PDF XChange Editor *Pro version*? 2. Does PDF XChange Editor *replace* PDF XChange viewer in the latest PDF XChange Pro release? When XChange Pro is installed, does it install PDF XChange Editor instead of the Viewer? Is the Editor inte...

Thank you again. Do you have any kind of expected time frame for when the Editor might be released for sale?

Re: Confused by this product...

Does the current version of the Editor have all the features and capabilities that the current Viewer does plus more?

Or are there some features that the Viewer has that the Editor does not have yet?

Thanks again!

Re: Confused by this product...

Thanks Paul, that helps a lot! I consider PDFX products the best third party PDF solution on the market. And, of course, in many ways it is also a huge improvement over even Acrobat itself. IMHO, integration is one of the key things that can improve your product from here. All the parts are fantasti...

Confused by this product...

I'm confused by the relationship between PDF-XChange Editor and PDF-XChange Viewer. Can you clarify it? Is the Editor going to replace the Viewer? Is it a separate product? If it is a separate product, what kind of integration will there be between the two? What I have been hoping for is one unified...

Re: IE Integration/Page Conversion

Hi Stefan... thank you for explaining that. I'm not very handy with the technicals of pdfs but I interpret that to mean that making the conversion do what the Acrobat conversion does would mean a significant rewrite of the entire conversion process, and that isn't in the cards. Am I in the ball park...

Re: IE Integration/Page Conversion

Thanks Stefan. You guys are terrific! :D Interesting. Yes, on the fist one, there are only a few things missing. But that can still be a problem. If you look at the "recent changes" section on the right hand column, for example, it is missing all the text contained there. Regarding the sec...

Re: IE Integration/Page Conversion

Hi Paul, Thanks for the helpful response. Let me make it clear that I think that PDFX is a superb package -- in many ways the best of breed on the market. Everything I say here is in the context of this one feature -- albeit an important feature for us. Here are a couple of examples of pages that se...

IE Integration/Page Conversion

As I have written before after previous evaluations, we think PDF-XChange is an awesome product. However, the toolbar functionality in IE is a sticking point for us. Compared to the Acrobat toolbar functions, PDFX leaves a lot to be desired. Acrobat has two toolbar buttons in IE: "Convert"...

Re: Web Page Converter

Wow! That's great Paul! Thank you to all of you! Ultimately, it would be nice if the Web page converter offered the same (or similar) "preference" settings as the print driver (page layout, compression, graphics, watermarks, etc.) . I really like how the print driver lets you select from s...

Re: reduce size of inserted page

Stefan... may I ask a question about this because it is related to something I would like to understand better. When you print an already existing pdf, say one that has previously been printed through the print driver, doesn't that diminish the quality of the images produced? Doesn't a pdf lose some...

Re: Web Page Converter

Hello Ryan, Lots of things will indeed change for ver5 - you can count on that. Excellent! Thanks! As for the particular case with confirming a file overwrite - the IE Plugin does ask me correctly as it should (see attached). Or did you have anything else in mind? Yes. You are prompted to allow fil...

Web Page Converter

I love the Web page converter. It does an excellent job. Hopefully, there are plans to improve it even more maybe in v5 if we are lucky?! Here are some of the things that I would like to see: *This is probably the most important change to me. When saving a file, if the file already exists, bring up ...

Is driver compatible with another program's PDFX SDK driver?

A computer already has a program on it from another developer that uses the PDF X-Change SDK driver.

Is it possible to use PDF-XChange on that computer also? Or will there be a conflict.

Thank you.

Sure John, I'd be happy to do that. I can give you a few links to some of the developer's sites. I'm hesitant to post them here since I don't want to promote other company's products in your forum unless you would prefer I do it that way. Would you like me to post the links here, or would you prefer...

Re: "Merge With Existing (insert before)" Problems

Hi Stefan and thank you. I wanted to report back on what I found. The problem appears to be with IE7 and NOT with PDFX. IE7 had a serious memory leak problem that caused it to eat up tons of memory over time. After years of complaints apparently MS finally came out with a patch for this problem. Aft...

Re: "Merge With Existing (insert before)" Problems

Thank you... OK. I don't have PDFX myself, I use it at work. Next time I am there I will try to get more information and report back here.

I know that it happened printing Web pages from IE7. But I will try to provide more.

Thanks again.

"Merge With Existing (insert before)" Problems

Windows XP SP3 PDFX ROCKS! Regarding the options dialog that appears when you print to PDFX and the PDF file name already exists at the destination... The "Merge With Existing (insert before)" option seems to work sometimes and other times simply doesn't print and does nothing. However the...
