Hi Craig,

Thank you for clarifying. I had left a tiny little bit hope that a DLL could work but that is over now. Maybe something for a project to teach myself C# ;-)

Hi Craig,

Unfortunate I am using the Viewer ActiveX not for processing PDF files but well,,... as a viewer :P
The ActiveX viewer used to work in Clarion 6 for me too, so I guess the Clarion 6 route will work for me.

So far so good, we succeeded to run a script which set the settings for every user. So at least the PDF-viewer isn’t started automatically. However it is still possible that a user ticks an option in the save as dialog. Is it possible to disable that option? In fact it isn’t needed to have those ext...

Thanks, that seems a workable solution to modify existing users. Although I don’t know how to make such a run once script, but that is something to figure out now :roll:

Will this also work for new users? Or is possible to add a key in the [.Default_User….] key?

True, if I try it with a Clarion button the method is working. But when user is printing the document and the chooses a PDF-printer the name is ‘Document from Stream.pdf’. OK it makes not really sense to use a PDF-printer when a save button is also available, but some users do.

Thanks. Today I installed the new version of my application. The users are happy with the new viewer. I use it also as a Print Preview window instead of the regular window. I really like this SDK. :D

Hi Support,

I figured it out. On the particular machine a tried this, the Viewer settings file couldn’t be saved due to file access rights. So checking "Don't display this warning again" wasn’t written to the settings file. With the correct file access rights it was solved.

Hi Craig,

When the user rotates a page there is a warning ‘Note: This function will rotate pages for this work session only….’ Although I checked ‘Do not show this message again’ it keeps returning every new session. Can we get rid of this message somehow?

Is it possible to switch off the print properties window within the ActiveX control? In the examples there is demo how to make printing of PDF documents directly, but that uses a Clarion button.
