Re: gather all highlighted text in one place

I understand that pdfxchange cannot produce what I am looking. However, to help developers understand, here is a pic of the Android Moon+ bookmark page, which I had been using.

Re: gather all highlighted text in one place

thanks. I have "show text" checked. Still only shows a "T" for each highlighted text in the Comments pane. Doesn't show highlighted text. Doesn't matter if "show text" is checked or not. I guess it needs a view>panes>highlighted text since it really isn't comments that ...

gather all highlighted text in one place

Is there a way to do this in pdf-Xchange Editor? I am not referring to exporting or printing highlighted text, but see a page(s) of all text highlighted, similar to how may see a list of bookmarks. It is like seeing a summary of important ideas. With ability to click on any one highlight to go direc...

Re: pdf opens in viewer application, not in browser

cadillakin, the dissappearing menus have corrected themselves today. i had the same problem once in the past, with the same cure: time. even though i tried rebooting yesterday it didn't help. the computer was, as usual, off, over night, and this morning they work fine. all is now well. thanks a bunc...

Re: pdf opens in viewer application, not in browser

excellent. disabling the adobe addon and deleting the mimetypes.rdf has solved the problem, with one remaining detail.: the menus on xchange viewer, in ff, open and then close after half second. i tried rebooting computer, but no different. menus in standalone viewer are ok. any idea how to fix this...

Re: pdf opens in viewer application, not in browser

ah, perhaps that is part of the problem. i don't see that option. only pdfchange (default) and 'use adobe acrobat ( in firefox)"

i don't have adobe acrobat installed, only adobe reader.

i made an image of my menu, but can't get into this post. i don't have a url to hold images for posting.

Re: pdf opens in viewer application, not in browser

No, you're making progress. On the right side of that applications window, opposite "PDF Xchange Viewer Document", use the dropdown arrow to change the action from "open", "save" or "always ask" to "Use PDF XChange viewer in firefox". Click on the a...

Re: pdf opens in viewer application, not in browser

I had a similar thing occur to me.. Read this whole thread, it's short; https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=6692 and try deleting the mimetypes.rdf file. See if that works. Take a backup of it first.. but it shouldn't harm anything.. It just gets rid of some of the miscellaneous/...

Re: pdf opens in viewer application, not in browser

Cadillakin, i am using viewer 2.0.42.4 . i had the version number wrong in my original post. though i did download and install again, just to see. still opens in viewer, not in ff. also, in ff application, there are 4 listings for adobe pdf type files, all set to open with pdfxchange. there is not a...

Re: general forum suggestions

Chris, i am happy to say the auto login is working. at least for the couple of times that i clicked on the link in the last response notice and after restarting ff. i had deleted the docu-track exceptiion and remade it, typing in the name (previously i had copied it from the url). then logged in. ma...

Re: general forum suggestions

chris, i didn't try "until they expire" since i wouldn't continue using it. presumeably i won't be going to the help forums alot, so i'll just accept this inconvenience. though i admit, it is intriguing, why keeping cookies from docu-track doesn't seem to work, while it does with other sit...

Re: general forum suggestions

Chris, looks like it just isn't going to work for me. i have logged in a couple times, with the "save" option checked, closed and reopened ff, rebooted computer. works ok with other sites that i have set up to retain cookies, but some reason, not for docu-track (without the www. )

Re: general forum suggestions

chris, i have added docu-track as an exception, which, in theory , should keep the cookies between sessions. and i checked the 'keep me logged in ' box the last time i came here, a couple of hours ago. which should have meant that a cookie was placed on my computer, and should remain there until i c...

Hey astro46, That is odd, as I have that box checked and haven't had to login in months. Do you remove your cookies, or have privacy software that may delete them? Regards, Chris Chris, i had to log in again to see your reply. i have firefox set to accept and retain cookies for session only, unless...

general forum suggestions

based on my experiences at other forums: 1. have forum remember me, at least for a browser session (cookie?), so that every time i get an email about a topic update, i don't have to log in again. and again, and again. or better: have the email link take me directly to the topic. you sent me the emai...

Re: viewer not working in firefox

there still is a problem: when looking at a pdf, with viewer, in ff, i don't see the main toolbar (file, edit, etc.). however, it looks like every other possible toolbar is open. and i can't remove them. right clicking brings up the toolbar menu, for half a second, then it disappears. the options b...

I still have all the toolbars - main, stumbleupon and a couple of others - all there. I know that I have some FF plug-ins such as ruler but do not know how to find a list. Can someone tell me how in firefox: tools>add-ons . viewer should be in the plugins tab. other stuff is in the extensions tab.
