Re: PDF driver being deleted on 64-bit machines
We are using build 187. I'll download the latest 195 and see if the issue goes away. Thanks.

PDF driver being deleted on 64-bit machines
We are seeing an issue on Windows 64-bit machines where running the Tracker PDF install a second time removes the PDF driver from the system. If we run the PDF install a third time, it will put the driver back on the system. We don't see this issue on any other types of OS. The reason we do this is ...

Re: Hiding Driver from Available List
Am I understanding this correctly when I say that during the time that a user has a PDF driver created (via the driver being embedded in a client application), that driver appears in the Windows Printers and Faxes list, and is available to a user to generate PDFs without watermarks, independent of t...

Hiding Driver from Available List
When we create a new PDF driver in our code, it puts an entry for it in the Windows Printers and Faxes list. If a user then comes along and tries to print to that driver, external to our application, they get a clean print out (no watermarks). Is there a way to suppress that driver from showing in t...

Re: Cannot Install Driver with WinFax Pro 10.4 Installed
John, Sorry for the delay. I did some additional research, and it looks like the reason the WinFax driver is being deleted is due to an older Raster driver installation. Our current Raster version is: 1.07.48. I reinstalled WinFax, then installed the latest Raster driver: 1.10.56, and no WinFax dele...

Cannot Install Driver with WinFax Pro 10.4 Installed
We're seeing an issue with our clients where if theyhave WinFax Pro 10.4 installed, they cannot install the Tracker drivers. It's my understanding that Tracker is already aware of some WinFax issues. Are you aware of this issue, and if so, is there a driver update available to solve this problem? Th...

Re: Access Denied: Cannot Instantiate Objects
Preliminary findings from our tech support: Installed the Xchange driver. Left everything as default except option for Firefox, chrome. Used the icon on the toolbar for MSWord (UM doesn't have the icon). Nothing happens when you click to convert to PDF. There are three icons on the XChange toolbar, ...

Access Denied: Cannot Instantiate Objects
We've got a client that is unable to use our PDF functionality. Our log files are indicating that an exception is thrown while attempting to retrieve the PDF class factory, which causes the CreateDriverInstance to fail. This seems to be happening for both 32-bit and 64-bit machines. Our QA departmen...

Release notes for latest PDF driver?
Are there any release notes for the latest PDF driver version 4.0185? I'd like to confirm that the Windows 7 64-bit orphaned drivers issue has been fixed.

IPXCPrinter Properties
I'm searching for a particular property on the IPXCPrinter properties object. When I generate a new PDF and open it with the Adobe reader, I attempt to print it out via the File->Print option. This brings up the Print dialog. Inside the Page Handling group box, there is a Page Scaling combobox. Curr...

Looking for driver version history
We'd like to upgrade our PDF driver from 4.0.178.0 4.0.184.0. Is there a version history for driver changes? We'd like to determine what areas we should test for.

Re: Orphaned Printers on Windows 7 64-bit
I have written a simple console test application that first attempts to clear any orphaned printers, then it will create a new printer. When prompted, use Task Manager to kill the application. Verify that an orphaned printer named MyPDFPrinter has been left behind. Now if you run the application aga...

Re: Orphaned Printers on Windows 7 64-bit
Just wanted to check back to see if you've been able to determine if this is an issue with the PDF driver. Again, we're only seeing this on 64-bit systems. I'll look for your response.

Orphaned Printers on Windows 7 64-bit
I'm getting orphaned printers on Windows 7 64-bit OS. I'm using the RemoveOrphanPrinters call, which works for 32-bit operating systems, but it seems to be ignored on 64-bit systems.
Has anyone seen this, or have a suggestion on how to deal with it?
Thanks...

Can't Find Type Lib during 64-Bit Compile

Re: Suppressing the File Save As Dialog
I'm just evaluating this product, so I haven't coded it tightly. I just want to know what are some of the things I can change. Like I said before, I'd like to suppress the file save as dialog. I'd like to change the scaling also. Can you provide some information on this?
Thanks,
Mike

Suppressing the File Save As Dialog
I'm generating a pdf from my application and don't want to see the Save As dialog come up. Below are the properties that I'm using to set up the printer. I'm setting the Save.ShowSaveDialog to "No" and providing my own filename, but I'm still seeing the dialog. Can anyone comment if my par...
