You can go back to version 383, I have already done so. You have to uninstall 384 first. Have gone back to older versions a few times without incident. As a precaution, I suggest backing up your settings first.

Since the release of Build 10.1.3.383 I have had no recurrences of this or the subsequent problem I reported to the support team. The program has been rock solid. Thank you Roman and Ivan. :D

Based on posts to the the other thread, the same problem seems to be occurring on the following -

Computer 1 - Windows 7 (6 gigs of RAM) and a Brother MFC-295CN scanner (10 years old)

Computer 2 - Windows 11 (32 gigs of RAM) and an Epson V600 scanner (new)

It works, but there is a short time lag between when I click on the highlight and when select text kicks in and I can click and drag. Is this by design or because of the slowness of my computer?

I emailed Roman to advise him that I uploaded the dump files and screenshots from the latest freeze of PDFX. I have been out of the office quite a bit and finally got a chance to create them. The build I am using is now 381, not 371

I read that a crash fix was to be incorporated in the latest update (Build 380). Really hoped it would fix my problem, but Build 380 has already crashed once. Disappointing. Just looked up the instructions for doing a Process Dump once again. Hopefully the update fixes the problem for others.

I installed the fonts from the official Github repository not from Google fonts. I generally do that so that I have the latest versions. For Source Sans 3 that would be 3.046 released on 09/07/22. Installed 366.0 and the problem returned.

Daniel I just got a shock. I uninstalled 366 and installed 364 and the problem seems to be gone! I have exited and started the program a number of times and the presets are still there!

I could not try 365 because that version has disappeared from the previous versions web page.

I think the Quick Tools toolbar is brilliant, but it is easily disabled. Select Help -> Customize Toolbars and deselect Quick Tools at the very bottom.

I created a searchable document with 9.3.361 using Enhanced OCR and the highlighting of periods at the end of sentences was inconsistent. I don't remember this happening with previous versions. I emailed the files over for you guys to take a look at. Maybe just this document or "user error"...
